"Its time." She whispered. A bad feeling was in your stomach. You knew something would go wrong. You just knew it. If it wasn't a world then what was it...? You sighed and nodded. "I guess it is." She turned to you, taking your hand and smiling weakly. You stared at her, the flux being a painful reminder of what you couldn't fix. It was like your scare on your back and on your hands. One good thing about flux is that it heals scars. Just not mental ones unfortunately. Her voice snapped you back into reality. A reality you wished wouldn't exist right now.
"Duncan? Duncan you okay?" You forced a smile, "Yup! You okay? You ready and everything?" she nodded, "Yup. Got the poppers ready in the village. Our spawn is set in the village. And the middle silo is ready to go." You have taught her so much. You smiled.
"We've got this."

Bombs flashed a noises of explosions filled the air between Red Panda Labs and Hat Corp. You had started to fire off a few missiles, Nano was over at Hat Corp. You could only pray she was alright raising the dead and shooting her rockets everywhere where could see. You set off another missile.
Suddenly you heard a horrible noise come from Hat Corp. Your head flashed over seeing your worse fear. A mushroom cloud. Over where Nano was.
You didn't even hear your voice screaming before you flew up and raced as fast as your hang glider would go. "NANO!!! NANO!!!!" you screamed as the fog cleared. A small pool of red caught your eyes and you flew down. Recognizing the small and delicate figure.
"Nano..." You picked her up carefully, resting her head in your lap. Tears began to fall down your face, she was pale, yet held her confident smirk.
"H-Hey Dunc..." she whispered. You caressed her cheek. "Your gonna be okay...i p-promise. We'll cure the flux. We'll get you fixed up..." she shook her head. "Its my time...I know it." you kept shaking your head.
"No! No!" You began to sob, "Nano please-"
She cut you off, "Duncan....I love you...you've got this." with that her eyes rolled into the back of her head. Her breathing once shallow and quiet was now only silence. Her beautiful skin, now a pale white.
"I loved you too....i was just to afraid."
