Once upon a time, there was a tree. But it was no ordianry tree. This tree was the very first of its kind, it gave color to a world of white and lines.
It started with a spaceman and dwarf, just finding a seed one day, when the spaceman held it, his skin showed a new color, it slowly went up his arm and showed on his coat. In the span of merely seconds, he had color.
The dwarf, happy with his friends colors, took the seed, and once again, within seconds, the small dwarf had color. The two weren't selfish, and decided to play the seed, hoping to share color all around.
So they dug a hole, and placed the seed in the hole, suddenly the ground was filled with clor, of green. Of grass. The sky had turned a beatiful blue. The dwarf and spaceman were happy, they quickly watered it, and left it to be. Being happy with themselves.
The second who gained color was a girl named Lomadia, she discovered the tree while chasing a rabbit. She saw the rabbit had gained color when it was by the small sapling. She reached for the rabbit and picked him up, noting he was now a light brown. She looked down at the green sapling, and saw her shoes were now in color. As were her pants. She smiled softly and set up a small fence to keep the tree safe.
By the time she was done, she loved her new colors. As she was now fully colored in. With that the seed relased something new to the world, colors to the animals. And she was happy with that.
The third to receive color was a scientist named Duncan, who came upon the now more grown tree. He noticed his buttons on his coat had gained a great gold to it. He then noticed the tree a bit behind, and it would surly not survive the winter. So he ran back to his castle and grabbed some elixars to help the small tree be strong and make through the winter. With that he poured them in. Noticing the beatiful colors the tree gave to the exilars.
It went on like that for many weeks leading up to winter, soon enough he called the tree little brother. Or Sapling. But when winter came, the scientist left the tree. But he left happy back to his white castle. Knowing the tree would survive. And with that the tree unoeashed something else to the world, color to materials. To homes.
The fourth and fifth to gain their colors was two men named Sips and Sjin Who discovered the wilting tree in mid-spring while looking for something to do. Sjin noticed the tree gave his beard a soft brown color, Sips went over and noticed it gave his suit some blue. The two then noticed the tree was wilting. Forgetting all about their colors, they began to help it back to his feet. By coming back every day during the spring to watch over it.
The tree soon began to sprout little flowers of all colors. That's when the final gift of the tree released right in the beginning of summer. Sips and Sjin didn't visit it anymore, but the last gift the tree gave was color for everything.
And they all were happy with that.
.....
Expect a boy. A boy with no friends in this world. His name was Toby Cortell. He found the tree one day while taking a walk. Playing with a stick, not much else for him to do. He was the last without any color. However, when he walked past the tree, strong and healthy, it did not give him color. Toby, sad about the legneds he heard about being false, took out a small pocket knife. He would still remember the tree, colors or not. He walked over to the tree, pass the small flowers, pass the fallen leaves, pass the frozen dewdrops that made the tree sparkle. He carved in a symbol. A certain symbol.
A sapling symbol. That's when the tree began to glow, and the symbol did too. Toby, terrified backed up into a rock and tripped. When he re-opened his eyes and looked back at the tree, there was a boy. A blonde boy, with a green t-shirt, shorts, twigs in his hair, a headband. And the symbol on his shirt.
Toby, curious walked over and reached out for the boy. When he touched the boys wrist though. That's what gave him color. And immeditly the blonde boy opened his eyes, revesling blue eyes. Toby looked at the boy, and he looked back at him. Then suddenly, with a grin the blonde sat up and held out his hand and spoke.
"Hi! My names Martyn also known as Inthelittlewood!"
Toby never left Martyn's side. He didn't care if one day he'd lose his color. He had a friend, and he was happy.
