Kyon POV:
When I heard the rest of the cabin start to get up and get ready, I followed suit, acting as if I had just awoken. A facade, of course, but it didn't matter. I walked out of the cabin, not needing to do anything but throw the blankets off and make sure my mask was secure since I slept in my clothes.
I stretched as the sun started coming over the horizon, soaking in some of the rays before walking over to the dining pavilion. I noticed a large majority of Hephaestus and Athena demigods already sitting at their tables deep in conversation. I would guess that they got about as much sleep as I did.
I sat down at the Hermes table, and food appeared on my plate. After sacrificing some parts to the gods, I began to scarf it down.
As I finished my plate, more campers came into the pavilion for breakfast. I quickly slipped out to talk to Chiron; I would tell him what I talked about with Rachel, maybe speed this assignment up a bit.
I walked past the Stolls and waved as I headed to Chiron, who was just leaving the Big House.
"Hey Chiron, I was talking to Rachel yesterday, and we thought up a few ideas portraying to the prophecy. Did she already tell you?" I asked as I stood in front of the centaur.
"Yes, she informed me of your ideas. I must say I am impressed. For a new demigod to figure out so much of the prophecy already is amazing. Thank you for your thoughts, now I must be getting to the pavilion to speak to the rest of the campers" Chiron nodded at me, stroking his beard. I stepped aside and watched as the half-white stallion trotted up to the pavilion.
I walked towards the pavilion, entering just as Chiron finished adjourning breakfast. I spotted a mixture of non-olympian demigods and walked up to them.
"Hello, are you guys on the quest for Chaos? I got here a little late, so I'm not sure where my group is," I explained. The group of fifteen demigods stopped their conversations, and a girl near the front sighed.
"We are the quest for Anake Primordial of Necessity; your group is over there." The girl pointed, and I looked at the pavilion's opposite side, where around ten demigods were standing. I nodded my head in thanks and wished them good luck before heading to my group.
"Hi, I'm Kyon. You guys are on the Chaos quest, right?" I introduced myself to the group.
"Hi, I'm Jane, daughter of Eris, goddess of discord," a girl with blonde hair and hazel eyes stuck her hand out to me. I smiled at her and shook her hand. When I pulled away, she looked surprised before I grinned and held a small shock mechanism in my hand.
"I'll reintroduce myself. I am Kyon, son of Hermes, the god of pranks." I grinned mischievously at her, and she nodded and looked at me with new respect. I tossed the shocking mechanism back at her; I could tell we would get along just fine.
If I remember correctly, there are three demigods of Eris, including Jane, two of Nemesis, two of Deimos, six of Horae, and one of Morpheus. I looked around at the other people in my group. There was a pretty even split of guys and girls. I smiled; it's not like Chaos would try to harm any of us. I was more worried about getting to the destination than the actual primordial.
Suddenly four more demigods ran in, breathing heavily. I looked at them, watching as they caught their breath. "Sorry for being late; we woke up late," one of the guys explained. Taking in his hazel eyes, I figured he was a son of Eris. However, the other three were not.
"No, we," the girl gestured to the others besides the boy who talked," did not wake up late. You woke up late. We came to get you," she said sternly, daring him to argue. I would bet that she was the daughter of Horae, goddess of justice, order, and law.
