Equus POV:

It's been three days since I basically poofed off the face of the Earth, and well, let's just say I wish Chaos were able to be in a physical form other than a dog. Ok, back up, Chaos turning into a dog was both the most amazing and disappointing moment of my entire three days here.

Before, I was trying to think of a way to watch over Earth, and Chaos wouldn't tell me how besides using alien spies. Obviously, I didn't want to just send aliens to Earth and expect everything to be a-ok, so I had to think of another idea.

But with all the annoying work of being the universe's leader or whatever and Chaos' constant commentary and input, I wasn't able to think too hard on the way to watch over Earth. So in a moment of pure annoyance, frustration, and exasperation, I basically tried to force Chaos out of my mind.

Oddly enough, as soon as I did that, a black mastiff appeared in front of the massive desk I was working behind. Of course, I ignored it. For about eight seconds. That's when I realized that I wasn't hearing Chaos at all, and I couldn't even feel his presence in my mind. That caused me to freak out a bit because one, he was actually helpful at times with the whole universe job, and two, an overpowered primordial shouldn't just poof out of existence.

That's when the dog started annoying me. It would come up and lay its head on my knee or bark endlessly. After around three minutes of absolutely no work done, I turned to the mastiff, exasperated. The dog shut up and cocked its head to the side, implying me to notice something that I had no idea what. That's when I felt the poking of a consciousness at my mind. Allowing the presence in, I was met with Chaos' annoying voice.

Finally! I thought you would never get it.

I groaned and banged my head on the table, spilling towers of paperwork onto the floor.

Hey! Those were important! Also, what's wrong?

I ignored his question and looked right at the black mastiff sitting calmly in the middle of the office, tongue hanging out. "So you're in the dog?" I asked tiredly.

No, I am the dog. I'm not possessing anything. This is literally my form.

Great, now he can annoy me both mentally and physically. "Why are you a dog? Why not something useful like a human or humanoid alien species?"

You made me a dog. I didn't choose this form. If I could, I would turn into that eight-legged form you love so much, just because I can, and Kyon can't get to me here.

I rubbed the bridge of my nose, squeezing my eyes shut. "Ok, so now what? You're a dog and can't do anything but bark and normal dog things. Can you like, I don't know, get back inside my head? Maybe I can try again and focus on a different form."

I don't think I can return to your mind like this. I think I'm stuck as a mastiff.

I groaned and hit my head on the table. Why did the Fates hate me so much? Why couldn't he just have been turned into his standard Chaos form so he could take over his duties so I could go back to Earth?

I banged my head on the table, my eyes and hands exhausted with the mountains of paperwork I've already done. My brain swam with all the weird languages I've had to brush up on and all the information going on on different planets.

The planet I caused a major planetquake on while in Winter form was reconstructing its main cities, and the disappearance of the alien mafia group allowed construction to move along easier.

On the last job Kyon and I did in space, assassinating four of the nobles, caused new nominations for a king and queen. Thankfully the civilians chose a royal family that the spies thought were worthy and just for the throne.
