Kyon POV:

Great, the fucking mountains! He couldn't've placed me in a nice castle or a town. No, he wants me to be on a fucking mountain! As an added bonus, it's just a mountain, no valleys, no plains, nothing. Just a steep ass piece of rock with forest on a part of it and snow on top.

I'm glad you find my places of battle pleasing.

I growl at him and lean up against the mountainside, looking up at the sky, waiting for monsters to kill me. Honestly, this mountain has a lot of smaller space than the other two domains, so it should be pretty easy to pinpoint my location.

"So Ares, how long until my demise?" I ask out loud, getting bored of the constant silence. I tapped on my knee; the singing was almost better than this.

There's no answer from the god, and I groan. I hum a random tune that Equus was singing a few days ago. After what I felt like ten minutes, I stood up and started walking around the mountain. Better than sitting around doing nothing, especially since there are actual colors to look at instead of never-ending sand.

I take out a bull horn and hold it in my hand, keeping it ready in case of an attack. I felt as if the sword was a bit too bulky for the thin trees and open mountainside.

I see a clearing and have deja vu. Almost thanking the war god for giving me a battle, I walk into the clearing. I stand in the center, waiting for inevitability. All around me, the bushes rustle. Okay, that was quite a few more monsters than I thought I would have to deal with.

I switch my horn out for my sword and stand at the ready, waiting for the first attack. I see one of the bushes rotting, and I swing towards it. Two snakes with white spikes on the sides of their heads slither through the grass. Every section of grass they touch withers and dies; I hold my sword out in front of me and prepare to fend off the smaller snakes.

One of them coils and strikes at me, flying while the others rears its head back and slews fire. Surprised, I dodge to the side to avoid the fire and slash at the other in the process. Thankfully I managed to kill the striking basilisk. Unfortunately, the basilisk followed me with its head, so I caught on fire. Well, just my cloak.

Growling and curing the basilisk, I lopped its head off quickly after standing up and rolled on the ground putting out the fire. I stood to my feet and readied myself for the next attack.

The bushes surrounding the clearing continued rustling, and all at once, around thirty german-shepherd-sized ants appeared. We had these at Camp Half-Blood, annoying, greedy insects. I readied myself for an irritating and taxing battle.

The ants started running towards me simultaneously, and so I ran towards a random section. Quickly I pushed as far in between them as I could while avoiding being bitten and slashed at the kink of their armor.

I killed the first one and continued down the line, rushing to escape the ones after me from the rear and my right. One would often get too close, and I would slash it before returning to my previous task at hand.

Eventually, I finished the huge ants, killing the last one. I collapsed to my knees. It was pure adrenaline-filled, having to accurately slash at the ants' weak spot with only one slash each, so the ones behind you don't catch up—lots of stress that was thankfully over.

There was one last rustle of bushes, and I groaned, standing in a defensive position. Out of the foliage came a two-headed snake. No, not two heads right next to each other like a hydra, no. One head was where it was supposed to be, and the other was where the tail should be. Both heads hissed, though one of them wasn't looking at me, so I didn't feel nearly as threatened.
