(Hey guys completely unrelated for this chapter but check out Kody ⬆⬆
If you guys don't remember who Kody is, he's the guy who was sold alongside Paisley at the Festival. Yeah the big man who vowed to protect her and look out for her. Im obsessing again I'll stop hehe but you guys should let me know if you want a chapter in his POV ;) off to the story!)

                      Soren's POV:

All I could see was red. I lost her, she was gone. Paisley was gone. Brutally ripped from my grasp.

As Violet rubbed my arm I put my fist right through the wall of the waiting room.

"Soren..." She whimpered, terrified of me.

I couldn't stop the growl that echoed from my throat. I was furious and so was my wolf, Blade. We have finally found someone we like and she was gone.

Im overwhelmed by the pain and sorrow that seems to hit all at once. I plop into the chair and rest my head in my hands.

"We won't stop looking for her." She says with hope in her voice.

"I was so close, if only i could go higher. She was right there."

"We will find her and bring her home, Bubba." She tries to reassure me but I can't find it in me to believe her.

The light in Paisley's eyes is still blinding me. It's like she's oxygen and I'm dying to breathe. Like I've been deprived of it my whole life. She is a novocaine in a world of pain and I'm drowning in it.

I close my eyes and let the darkness consume me.

                    -months later-

"I need you to look after the East Coast." My father says as he sits behind the old mahogany desk. My older brother Roman is typing something on his laptop. No doubt not paying any attention. Roman has been the alpha of the pack since he was fifteen. And our oldest brother is mated to the future queen of the werewolves. Which makes him even more powerful than Roman. They're both dicks though. Roman is just a bitch that likes using his dick instead of saving himself for his mate.

My father continues talking, "As you know your brother's have a lot to deal with, Roman taking over territories and Cedric with his engagement. They thought i should give you some responsibility. Im trusting you with this."

I can feel Blade growing angry. My father lost his leg ten years ago and left the pack duties to Cedric and Roman. I was always treated like the outcast by my family except for Violet. She and I have always stuck together through everything.

I consider declining his offer to be an alpha but Blade growls, stop you idiot. This is our chance.

That's when it hits me, my eyes widen with hope as an alpha I'll have so much more power and authority than I do now. I can find her. It's been seven months since I last saw her at the festival that day. It has been seven months since she disappeared off the face of the world. I've been looking for her nonstop. I've had people check for leads, I've ran her face everyday to see if anything has come up. Violet tries to help as well. Neither of us have been successful, it's as though she was just.... Erased from the world completely. Whoever has her doesn't want to be found or known.

"Yes, father. I'll do it." I say a little too enthusiastic.

"We have over seven thousand wolves hosted there. Can you handle it, boy?"

I nod, straightening up my posture. "Yes, sir. Ive been training for years."

He looks over some papers, as if uninterested. If it means i can bring Paisley home safely then I'll take all of the pain in the world.
