In the principal's office, scrunched between Mike and Dustin on a couch, Ally rolled her eyes and pinched the bridge of her nose as the loud chatter of the three boys overlapped each other.

Hopper and Callahan sat opposite the kids with exhausted looks on their faces. This hadn't been Ally's first encounter with the Chief of Hawkins Police Department. Hopper often had to take the girl home after catching her strolling around the town late at night. She was a bit of a night owl and loved to explore.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa! One at a time!" Hopper scolded, silencing them before pointing at Mike.

"You. You said he takes... what?" Hopper asked.

"Mirkwood," Mike repeated.

"Mirkwood?" Hopper questioned with confusion, "You ever hear of Mirkwood?"

"Sounds made up," Officer Callahan remarked.

"It's from Lord of The Rings," Lucas explained.

"The Hobbit," Dustin corrected.

"It doesn't matter!" Lucas shouted back.

And yet another argument began to ensue amongst the boys, much to both Ally and Hopper's annoyance.

"Hey! What'd I just say? One. At. A. Damn. Time!" Hopper repeated with a sigh.

"Ally," he said, pointing to the girl and gaining her attention.

"Mirkwood, it's a real road, it's just the name that's made up," she started.

"What's it's real name?" He asked.

"I don't know but it's where Cornwallis and Kerley meet," she explained.

Hopper nodded gratefully at the one kid that seemed to have their head screwed on properly as he jotted down the information onto his note pad.

"Yeah I think I know it," he muttered.

"We can show you-" Mike said, perking up.

"I said I know it," Hopper snapped, now officially frustrated and completely done with the 12-year-old boys and their antics.

"We could help look-" Mike suggested.

Hopper shot the boy a sharp look.

"No. After school you go straight home. All of you," he drawled, looking at each of the children before him before stopping and making eye contact with Ally.

"Understand, Ally?" He emphasised, prompting the girl to let out an indignant huff accompanied by her famous eye-roll.

"Whatever you say, Hop," she said sarcastically earning a pointed look from the chief.
