Ally Harrington, the adoptive little sister of the famous Steve Harrington, wasn't anything like her brother.

Night had long since fallen over the small town of Hawkins when the children finally emerged from the building. Wailing sirens and ambulances were slowly filling up the parking lot but there was only one car they truly needed to see; however, one could say they got a little more than they bargained for.
As the children made there way out of the school looking like they'd just stepped out of hell - especially the dead-looking young girl with her head lolling to the side and her arms draped over the back of Lucas and Dustin's shoulders in order for her to be able to walk - Jonathan, Nancy and Steve pulled up to the lot, parking beside each other and wasting no time in getting out of the car. But as soon as the teens laid eyes on the children, the guilt for leaving them alone set in.
After everything that Steve has seen, learnt and experienced that night, the boy was in a right state but if he thought he looked bad then he certainly didn't anymore after catching sight of the other Harrington - the Harrington who apparently had super powers.
The moment the teens had spotted the quartet, they rushed over to them, instantly bombarding them with questions. Steve reached them first, falling to his knees in front of his sister with concern and panic plaguing his features.
"Jesus Christ! What happened?!" He exclaimed, cupping her cheeks and inspecting her face.
The kids stayed silent, none of them willing to give up their secret just yet and Ally in no state to be saying anything.
"Mike!" Nancy called as she wrapped her brother into a hug, "What happened?!"
"What happened to Ally? And where's El?" Jonathan asked, looking around for the other girl.
The boys looked between the three teenagers, their eyes cautiously lingering on Steve.
"It's okay, he knows everything. He helped us kill that Demo...gorgon... thing," Nancy assured, "Now, can you please explain what happened here?"
Ally may not have been 100% conscious but in hearing that her brother knew about her, that he was near that thing, Ally took one look at his bloodied, bruised and battered face and broke. She went from completely silent one second to choking out a sob the next.
Dustin and Lucas released her as she collapsed into Steve's arms, the boy securely wrapping his arms around his baby sister and letting her weep into his shoulder.

The silence filtering through the sterile hospital air of the waiting room was a thick blend of tension and exhaustion that smothered the waiting room's occupants. Most of them simply stared blankly at the ground, the trauma of recent events haunting their every waking moment.
