"Stop!" Mike yelled, bursting into the science classroom much like his friend had earlier on that day.

Mike and Will sprinted to the desk at the front of the classroom where Max, Lucas and Mr. Clarke all gathered around, waiting for Dustin to reveal his discovery. While the others were tense and confused, Ally nonchalantly leaned against the door frame, picking at her nails.

"I'm sorry, Mr Clarke. It was just a stupid prank-" Mike rambled, grabbing the ghost trap and retreating towards the open door as four confused looks were thrown his way.

"What the hell are you doing?!" Dustin demanded.

"-I told them to stop," Mike continued, panting heavily, "We need to go,"

"Mike!"

"Right now. Right now!" Mike barked urgently, sprinting out with Will.

Without question, the four other tweens followed him, leaving Mr. Clarke standing alone at his desk, utterly baffled.

Looking up from her nails, Ally just gave Mr. Clarke a shrug, as if what the teacher had witnessed was an everyday occurrence for her.

"Boys. Am I right?" She joked weakly.

Mr. Clarke frowned, opening and closing his mouth as if he was choosing not to say anything - or rather still had no idea what to say. But before the man could vocalise his jumbled thoughts, Will had reappeared beside Ally to grab her arm and whisk her away to the AV room where the rest of their friends waited.

"Later, Mr C," Ally bid with a solute just seconds before being yanked down the corridor.

Ally followed wordlessly after Will as he rushed into the room, only letting out a noise of protest just as the door closed when she noticed that Max was being left alone outside.

Of course, she understood why the girl couldn't be involved in this particular conversation but that didn't stop Ally from feeling guilty about it.

Panting lightly, Ally and Will paused for a moment as they noticed the looks on their friends' faces. It took a minute but eventually, their eyes travelled down to their hands that remained intertwined, even though Will had already successfully brought Ally to the rest of the party.

Their eyes moved to lock with one another before quickly dropping their hands and diverting their gazes.

Mike, Dustin and Lucas sent each other smug, knowing looks, shaking their heads before returning to the conversation.
