𝙿𝙰𝚁𝚃 2Ally still didn't know how she ended up in the Princess Leia costume. One minute she and Steve were debating on how to do El's hair to match the Star Wars Princess's and the next, the white dress was being forced over her head and onto her body. Of course, this didn't just happen without the feisty girl putting up a fight - which she also didn't remember losing.
And now, not moments later, Ally found herself standing in front of a camera with her siblings - one dressed as Luke Skywalker and the other as Tom Cruise - as they all dramatically posed for some Halloween pictures that would inevitably go in the photo album that El had been putting together in her free time.
If Ally thought that she was surprised by her appearance when she saw herself in the mirror, all dressed up as Princess Leia - save for the hair which she refused to let Steve touch - then the quartet of nerdy boys, that she called her friends, were downright gobsmacked when they saw her.
Ally arrived shortly after Jonathan had dropped Will off. And when I say that the boy nearly dropped his brother's precious video camera the minute he laid eyes on the girl, I am not exaggerating.
The boys all stood in a circle, going over the game plan for which houses they were gonna hit first while trick-or-treating. Dustin was the first to note her arrival.
"Holy shit!" The boy exclaimed in astonishment as he recognised their friend, "Al?"
The others turned around, confused by the boy's reaction. But the minute the girl came into their view, their jaws dropped right to the floor and their eyes bulged out of their heads. Will, lowered the video camera from where it was poised in front of his eye and stared in awe at the girl he'd harboured feelings for, his cheeks flushing pink.
"What the f-"
"There's no way that's Ally," Mike insisted.
"Yeah," Lucas agreed, "This chick looks nothing like her,"
Said girl rolled her eyes, doing her best to appear unbothered - if not bored and mildly annoyed - as per usual.
"Uh, this chick can hear you, ya dinguses," Ally retorted, "And, yeah, maybe I look a little different,"
"A little?" Mike scoffed.
"I'm not even convinced that it's you," Lucas added.
"Yeah," Dustin nodded, "You... look..."
"Pretty,"
All eyes snapped over to the mesmerised boy with bright pink cheeks that did nothing to distract from the heart eyes he was practically making. Realising his slip-up, Will cleared his throat and looked away from the girl's azure blue eyes.
"Different. Pretty different," he corrected, hoping that they'd play along, "Yeah, you look pretty different,"
Ally raised an eyebrow, getting deja vu from the moment that Mike had said something similar to El the previous year. I swear, sometimes it's like the boys share one braincell.
