"You ready Angel?" Suna smugly said.
(M/N)'s eyebrow furrowed and he clenched his fist, "Where did you even come up with that nickname? I barely know you Cowlick."
"Stop calling me Cowlick."
"Then stop calling me Angel." (M/N) stuck his tongue out.
Suna looked amused at his actions, "Not going to happen."
"You guys ready?" Kita's voice rung out to the two bickering fighters.
They both nodded their heads, not saying a word. They were concentrating, "Begin." Kita said.
But no one moved, the audience was holding their breathe, who would be the first one to move?
Suna? Or the new kid?
(M/N) waited on Suna to make the first move, remembering what his father used to say.
"Remember (M/N), you never want to start the battle. It only gives them an advantage, stay put no matter how long and then take action by countering their movement."
(M/N) straightened up, finding it a nuisance to keep his fighting stance. It was tiring and he felt bored.
Suna grew impatient, so he moved first. He ran at (M/N) thinking it had the upper hand since (M/N) looked very distracted in his thoughts, in fact, he was pretty fast. No one was able to keep up, no one but... (M/N).
A smirk crawled its way to the shorter male , (M/N) immediately slid under the arm that was coming towards him with full force. He reached out and grabbed Suna's right arm, lifting himself up with his legs and rotating over. His body maneuvered his way above Suna.
He saw a glimpse of Suna's eyes, they were wide. He licked his lips, he knew he had the fight. Suna was no match for him, but he would either throw the fight or make it a tie. And his pride would not take lightly to losing.
(M/N) twisted his body slightly, lifting Suna over him, both in the air, he took Suna down to the ground, he rolled over on top of the laying male and began to put pressure on Suna's back, hoping he already won the battle. But then remembered, so he shifted his weight to his non dominant side, giving Suna an opening to counter his attack.
"Not bad Angel." Suna did not notice the slight movement (M/N) did to give him an opening, (M/N) was just stealthy.
Suna took his free hand and grabbed (M/N)'s ankle, moving to where he was now on top of the shorter, but that didn't happen. (M/N) moved and did two back hand springs away from Suna.
(M/N) decided he studied him enough, in the amount of time they fought he realized Suna stayed off his feet most of the time, most likely to become faster and lighter, and he mainly used his right arm, only using his left arm if necessary. Even though all that happened was one thing, but (M/N) was always quick to pick up on this stuff. That's how he was taught.
(M/N) ran at him, Suna was prepared, (M/N) threw a punch, Suna made an 'x' with his hands to block his face. But the punch was strong. A slight crack could be heard. Suna could feel the bruise forming already, it hurt to move his arms now.
"That's going to leave a mark." Suna chuckled, mindlessly.
Suna went to catch (M/N)'s next punch, attempting to through him out of the arena, but (M/N) saw the opportunity to grab onto the rope that made the square shaped arena.
He pulled himself towards the rope, putting his legs in between the top and middle rope, practically sliding through and pushed himself off. His foot came into contact with Suna's chest.
Suna coughed, but grabbed onto the foot before he couldn't anymore and pulled him forward, punching (M/N)'s jaw, immediately his throat made him spit blood out.
"Oh, you're stronger than I thought... nice."
(M/N) did not seem fazed by the punch, which only made Suna irritated.
"That's it..." Suna growled, he pulled out a pocket knife, since they were only sparring and not actually trying to kill each other, he couldn't use a real one. "I bet you don't have one."
(M/N) pouted, making some of the people pity him, "No fair!" He whined, puffing his cheeks out, which then made everyone aw at him for being adorable, including Suna, "No one told me we were allowed to use weapons... if I would've known I would've brought mine." He crossed his arms in a baby type way, "Oh wait..." He smirked, "I did." He pulled out his pocket knife.
"Damn, and I almost felt bad."
(M/N) smirked at the comment, he ran and threw his knife at Suna, cutting his shoulder. Suna widened his eyes, (M/N) put his hand on the hurt shoulder, making the taller wince, and he pushed himself off only to grab his pocket knife in mid air.
Suna turned around just in time to make their knives clash together, he ended up slicing the shorter male's cheek.
They each narrowed their eyes at each other, rushing to finish the so called 'long' battle.
(M/N) flipped his pocket knife to where the blade was pointed to the side, he brought his fist up either to punch him, or cut him if he dodged. But he never thought about Suna grabbed his fist and twisting slightly, making (M/N) drop the knife, a smirk curled up on Suna's face.
"I'm not losing." They both said.
(M/N) head butted Suna in the face, causing his nose to bleed and him to drop (M/N). Suna held his nose, trying to stop the bleeding, a glare formed. (M/N) landed on his feet, squatting down as he extended one leg. Both hands on the ground, he was getting tired of the fight and wanted to end it quickly. So he began to push himself off the ground.
"That's enough." Kita said, (M/N) practically froze in mid-air, dropping to the ground before attacking Suna.
They both looked at him, but nodded anyways, the battle was lasting longer than any other they both fought in.
Any battle anyone has seen against Suna.
"Suna, show (M/N) his room."
Suna nodded, still holding his nose, "Follow me Angel."
