Jay was in Kita's room.

It was quiet a bit as they only stared. Jay was nervous as he looked around Kita's room. The colors just seemed to fit Kita as everything looked in place and straight. A soft smile overcame Jay's face as everything seem to calm him down.

"How are you?" Jay finally asked quietly.

"Good." Kita said, rubbing the back of his neck and not looking at Jay. "How are you?"

"You know, the usual. Just vibing through the days."

Kita broke out in a smile, remembering how they used to speak like this all the time. That was Jay's go-to answer for Kita as a joke to make him laugh or smile. It worked every time.

"You look good." Jay said, "I've missed you." He admitted to Kita.

Kita was quiet, a light blush on his cheeks from those words. He looked at Jay, searching his face form any lie or deception.

"I thought about you daily." Jay said, "I know we haven't been on the best terms, but seeing (M/N) find his happiness here I was reminded on the person I left. You were my happiness for the longest time and I lost you to Dexter... who we now know was driven to madness due to the loss of his wife and son. That's absolutely insane."

Kita blinked, "So I'm Dexter?" He asked.

Jay's eyes widened, "No! Sorry, I got off topic. Kita, I care about you deeply. I can't stand being away from you and I just need to know if you ever felt the way I feel right now. I know you no longer feel these feelings, but I need an answer."

Kita stepped closer, "I never stopped loving you." He sighed out, tilting his head up to look at Jay. "Dexter forced me to stop talking to you as you reminded him of his son. He tried to turn me into the machine (M/N) is today."

"You still love me?" Jay asked, his heart pounding his chest.

Kita stepped closer once more, wrapping his arms around Jay's waist. He got on his tippy toes and kissed Jay's lips. Jay perked up, melting into the kiss and wrapping his arms around his waist as well. They pulled away after so long, nuzzling their noses together.

Jay smiled, kissing him again and again. They hugged each other, keeping close and staying warm. Kita smiled warmly, the hole in his heart filled up again. He was destroyed when Jay completely left Inarizaki, but he never gave him a reason to stay.

He shoved Jay away, keeping miles away from his heart. All he wanted was to stay in his arms 24/7, but he never got that. He couldn't even bring himself to tell Jay after Dexter disappeared. Now he finally could, and it's all thanks to (M/N).

"Want to have some fun?" Jay asked wiggling his eyebrows.

Kita smirked, pulling Jay down by his shirt and kissing him. Walking backwards and onto his bed. Jay hovering over him as they continued to kiss.

Jay laid in bed with Kita on his bare chest. Their hair damp from their aftercare as Kita slept peacefully. Jay's arms rubbed up and down on Kita's arms, yet he couldn't sleep.

Something felt off.

Technically (M/N) and him were still enemies, and technically (M/N) didn't trust Aran as Aran didn't trust him. That's what felt off. Even with seeing (M/N)'s memories, Aran didn't soften. (M/N) didn't notice because he was too busy looking at Suna, but Jay caught the look.

Jay was having an inner turmoil, he can either stay and sleep with Kita... or protect (M/N) just like always.

Jay got up carefully, keeping Kita sound asleep. He kissed the top of his head and muttered an apology before putting clothes on and leaving the room. He was going to miss Kita once more.
