As the music softly played in the background, Suna grabbed (M/N)'s hand and pulled him to the middle of everyone."Suna. What are you doing?" (M/N) asked.
Suna only smiled, bringing their chest closer. Swaying softly to the music.
"Why are we dancing?"
"Don't you remember the conversation?" Suna chuckled, "This slow song is for us. Can't let it go to waste." He chuckled more. "Besides, at least this time we are sober."
(M/N) rolled his eyes, "Whatever. We need to go back over on what we learned." (M/N) said. "And forget that night. It shouldn't even count."
Ignoring the fact the Suna was actually enjoying himself. He spun (M/N) out before pulling him back in, to where his back was against Suna's chest. Suna put his head on the smaller's shoulder and smiled.
"We have a good amount." Suna quietly said, "More than before." He tightened his grip on (M/N), "Besides if I remember it counts."
"Finding out his son and the mission he's on won't really help all that much." (M/N) shook his head while swaying with Suna's body. Dropping the last part of the conversation. Not wanting to keep talking about it.
It was embarrassing.
"No," he spun (M/N) again looking in his eyes, "but it's a start."
(M/N) said nothing more, he simply nodded and continued dancing with the taller male. Suna smirked slightly.
"What are you smirking at?" (M/N) furrowed his eyebrows.
"You know, you're pretty good at dancing in a dress and heels..." Suna chuckled, "Have you danced in those before?" He wiggled his eyebrows in a teasing manner.
(M/N) scoffed and pulled away, "You're stupid. I'm going back to the wall." Like hell I would wear this shit.
"Aw Angel!" Suna walked after him and wrapped his arm on him, "No need to get flustered." He poked (M/N)'s redden cheek.
(M/N) shoved his hand away and kept walking, hearing Suna laugh from his reaction. (M/N) didn't mind the teasing all that much, at least it was better than Suna getting pissed at him for no reason.
"Hey Angel?" Suna asked, bringing him out of his thoughts.
(M/N) looked at him and hummed a response.
"The song is still going. We should finish our dance."
"Not going to happen Cowlick."
Suna smiled at the name, at least it wasn't filled with venom like earlier when he pissed the shorter male off.
Suna laughed and shook his head. He grabbed (M/N)'s hand and pulled him closer, "I wasn't asking." Suna whispered against his ear.
(M/N) shivered but obeyed into dancing. For some reason, he couldn't say no. But neither of them minded that.
He let Suna guide him back to the dance floor, he wrapped his arms around (M/N)'s waist. (M/N) wrapped his arms around Suna's neck. Both of their right hands traveled. Suna traveled up (M/N)'s waist to his arm grabbing his hand. (M/N)'s hand traveled down Suna's neck and shoulder down to his hand. Now both of their right hands were intertwined.
They followed each other's movements, stepping when the other stepped. They worked in perfect harmony, but it was still as if they weren't in sync.
They did their own things that corresponded with the others movement perfectly. Making the swaying and dancing into a more enjoyable experience.
They were lost in each other's movements, each other's worlds, each other's eyes. Everything drowned out around them, including the slow music that was playing in the background.
They swiftly moved through the room, while still dancing to the beat. Dodging the people that no longer matter. It was as if they were the only one's in the room.
(M/N)'s (E/C) eyes softened the more they danced, the more he had fun and felt free. Suna was smiling softly, not a smirk, not in a teasing way. A genuine smile that made (M/N)'s heart beat only slightly faster than normal.
The music stopped, but (M/N) and Suna didn't. They were still in each others arm's, yes they stopped dancing and swaying. But they couldn't stop looking at each other.
(M/N) shifted on his heels once he realized what was happening, so he let go of Suna. Clearing his throat.
"Uh... come on." (M/N) nodded his head to the door, "We got what we need. It's time we should go, yeah?"
"Yeah..." Suna replied softly. Sighing to himself. Wishing the moment didn't end.
They walked out silently, it was a tad bit awkward but they wouldn't dare break the silence. (M/N) grabbed his dress slightly, fiddling with it. Trying to stay calm and quiet.
How could I just dance with Suna like that?!
Suna glanced at him and noticed his little habit, but he looked away saying nothing. He couldn't break the awkward silence and how would he explain himself for looking at the smaller male?
He just couldn't.
They hopped in the car, Suna started it and looked at (M/N) through a side glance.
"I knew you were going to want to change as soon as we left, so there's sweats and a t-shirt in the back." Suna mumbled.
(M/N) perked up and smiled slightly, "Thanks." He responded.
He crawled back there, making sure his heels were already off so that it would be easier.
He put his sweatpants on before taking his dress off. Luckily, since they were both boys, he didn't mind being shirtless for a few seconds.
He crawled back to the front, throwing his shirt on and buckling up. Noticing that Suna was looking at him.
"What?" (M/N) questioned.
"That... that was fast." Suna blinked before focusing on the road.
(M/N) let out a humorless chuckle, "Well, I hated wearing the dress. It was uncomfortable."
Suna laughed at that, the atmosphere getting slightly better.
But once arriving back to the mansion, they explained all that they learned to Kita and went to their separate rooms.
(M/N) couldn't get the dance out of his head, Suna couldn't either. They both had a sleepless night. (M/N) kept tossing and turning, his mind blank but buzzing with so many unwanted feelings that he didn't understand.
Suna just laid on his back, hands clasped together as they rested on his stomach, his eyes tracing his ceiling.
