CHAPTER 14

Isang linggo makalipas, nalagpasan niya ang unang pitong araw niya sa barkong iyon kaya ngayong nagpaalam siyang bibisita muna sa isla, kumuha siya ng pagkakataon upang makapagpahinga ng maayos. She's given every Sunday to visit her island and now that she's done sorting out things, here she is lying on a beach bed.

Cyra's wearing a rectangle shield designer rivets sunnies shades sunglasses. Behind are her eyes open while staring at the sky which turns the day so bright. She's making herself tan again and how she loves to do that. The white beach bed was paired with his two piece swim suit that is colored yellow.

"I hope I can be beautiful as you." She muttered as she watched the vast blue sky where white clouds are scattered everywhere. Her ears were filled with the waves of ocean. She never thought she'd relax this way in a place like this. A city girl like here is hard to please with an ambiance of province-like.

"You are more beautiful than it, ma'am."

Her head immediately turned up where she saw a man in his white uniform is standing. Akala naman niya kung sino. Matapos ang malalim na paghinga bumalik ang kaniyang tingin sa malawak na karagatan.

"What are you doing here?"

Naghintay siya ng ilang minuto ngunit wala siyang natanggap na sagot sa lalaki kaya naman muling umangat ang ulo niya upang tingnan ito ng masama. Although her eyes won't be visible because of the shades.

"Are you deaf?"

Mas nagsalubong pa ang mga kilay niya nang tumawa ang lalaki.

"Your breakfast is ready, ma'am."

Then her eyes darted on the approaching staffs who she belives carry her food.

"Iiwan niyo na rito." She said pertaining to a small table behind her. Cyra went back on the sea and did not talk again until...

"Ma'am, tumawag po ang daddy ninyo."

Mabilis na kumilos ang kaniyang katawan upang maupo. Tinanggal niya din ang salamin sa kaniyang mga mata.

"Anong sinabi niya? Did you tell him about my where'bouts?"

"Hindi po, ma'am pero nagtanong po siya. We said you're busy."

Bit by bit she got to breathe normally again. "Okay, glad we're clear."

"Yes, ma'am. Sige po, mauuna na kami."

Nagpaalam ang mga ito sa kaniya saka tuluyan namang umalis. She was left all alone again. Hindi naman niya bitbit ang cell phone kaya hindi rin niya makakausap ang mga kaibigan. Well, maybe this is a good day to start without much people by her side. Nang madako siya sa lugar na ito doon lamang niya napagtanto ang halaga at ganda ng katahimikan. In the past years, she's accommodated with the noisy people and surrounding, the loud engines and horns of vehichles, the suffocating smoke and distance of people, the loud thug of music in bars and parties, and the non-absence of her father's lectures. Lahat ng iyon nabigyan ng pahinga dahil sa lugar na ito.
