The footsteps came closer, Kakuzu sat up. He felt something wrapped tightly around his chest, he looked down to see white bandages covering his chest and back. He looked at the sliding door as it opened, it made a sharp snapping sound as it hit the wall. A small young, woman, blonde, stood in the doorway. "O-oh you're awake." She said frightfully, though her body language made her seem calm. "There's ninja on the way to take you two to prison. Please stay put in this room. I wouldn't like to risk harming myself or others." She closed the door but didn't turn away from the man. Kaluzu listened as her foot steps despaired into nothingness. "Fuck." He whispered.
Kakuzu grabbed Hidan's shoulder and shook him until he woke up. The albino's eyes slowly opened. "The fuck do you want? I'm sleepy. Asshole, why'd you have to wake me?" He asked before he stared wide eyed at his surroundings. "Wait a minute where in the hell are we?" He yelled, sitting up. "Shut up. I don't know but we need to get out of here. If we don't we'll get arrested." He explained. "Are you fucking serious? Oh lord Jashin save our souls." Hidan whispered. "Could you shut up about your fake god?" "Lord Jashin isn't fake you nonbeliever!" He stood up. "Would you just shut your fucking mouth?"
The door slide open again, interrupting the twos fight. "I've brought food for you two while you wait for the authorities to arrive." The woman bent down to place a tray that she was holding on the wooden floor. Hidan stood up and approached the woman. "Have you seen my pediment? I'm a religious man and so I need it. Especially if I'm going to prison. I'll need my god with me." He said still getting closer. Kakuzu hadn't noticed Hidan's pediment was messing from his neck until now. "Oh I-I don't believe anyone took it but I can ask around to see if anyone has it or has seen it. If that's what you'd like, sir." She wasn't looking at him, her eyes were locked in her black shiny shoes. She gasped as the sliver haired man grabbed her arm like he was going to snap it. "Where the hell is my scythe?" He asked in a low violent voice. The brunette woman panicked. "It's in the closet in the next room!" Kakuzu left the room as Hidan shoved the woman out of the way and into the room. He locked the door and ran into the room beside them. Kakuzu looked around for any escape route, he found a window, luckily they were on the first floor so it wasn't that big of a fall. He opened and motioned the smaller to fallow him. The two slid out of the window to see three man entering the building. The sand was hot and the air was dry. "I guess we're in the desert now, huh?" Hidan said jokingly. Kakuzu hit him in the top of the head. "Now's not the time for joking, you idiot. If they catch up to us we're going too be in deep trouble. Let's go."
Kakuzu grabbed Hidan's arm and yanked him away from the building. "Hay slow down!" Hidan shouted. "Hurry up! They'll catch up!" Kakuzu replied. "And? So what if they catch up!? I'll kick their asses!" Hidan growled. 'Of course. Even after he loses over and over again, he's still cocky.' Kakuzu thought as speed up, yanking on the albino's arm harder. Said man yelped and grabbed onto his shoulder. "At least don't pull on me so hard, you old bustard!" He let out a pained whined. "Would you just shut the fuck up and stop your complaining!" Hidan mumbled curses and he allowed himself to get dragged around by the older man. The building became smaller and smaller as the space in between it and the two men became larger and larger. Hidan watched the building as it seemed to sink into the sand over the deserts horizon.
Hidan saw something move around in the distance, in a human like fashion. He knew instantly that it was the three ninja that were hunting them. "Heh, their catching up." Hidan smirked. "God-dammit." "You know now that my legs had time to heal I think I will beat there ass. I need to kill something. Lord Jashin can't wait for a sacrifice any longer. I really should get him the blood he craves." Hidan's smirk grew wider. "Are you sure you won't lose again?" Kakuzu chuckled. "Shut up. It was your stupid plan that got us in trouble." Hidan growled. "That wasn't either one of our faults." "Yeah yeah but I'm fine now... You're not going to faint again are you, old man?" Hidan asked after a short pause. "The heart is already gone so I doubt I will." Hidan's smirk returned on his face. "Good." His magenta eyes looked off at the three men that chased after them. "I'm not losing another fight again. Lord Jashin has given me enough chances. If he doesn't get any blood and flesh he's going to get really mad, I do not plan on disappointing him once more." Hidan's eyes didn't leave the men as if they were planing on harming his previous god themselves. Kakuzu could almost smell the shorter man's blood lust. Hidan hadn't killed anyone for a long time, and Kakuzu could tell Hidan was going to jump on any chance he could get until he was the cause of someone's death and he wouldn't stop. Kakuzu chuckled, knowing that at this point Hidan was desperate for blood. Kakuzu planed to stay out of the way this time. The short man now had some time to rest, he could fight on his own. "Now that little brat isn't here no one know our jutsu or that we're immortal. We'll fucking win, I'm sure of it. I'm ready to murder them all." Hidan giggled while sticking out his tongue, his eyes still tracking the men. "I'm very excited, aren't you Kakuzu?"
