Kakuzu woke up first, his boyfriend still pressed up against him in he's sleep. He sat up carefully not wanting to wake up the sleeping religious man. He was greeted with a dimly light fire that was barely still alive. The sound of dirt scattering around caught his attention. He turned his head over to see the monsters playing around on the ground. Hidan slept peacefully on his other side. His slow deep breaths had an odd calming effect on him. It was relaxing. He got the monsters back in his back after putting out the tiny flames of the fire.
It was a peaceful morning the sun wasn't as bright as it could have been and the wind had gotten much, much warmer but it was nice. The grass beneath them was crushed leaving the imprint of his frame in the ground, temporarily telling anyone who passed that he once slept here.
Hidan turned around on his side as he slept with his back faced the older man, mumbling away every little secret of his dream, nothing of it was spared of it. He quieted back down the next minute till the only noise he made was nothing but breath. Kakuzu looked over at him, his short hair spread out on the grass, his arms under his head and his legs tucked in his stomach. He stood up and stretched his back until a dull crack shot out from his stiff body. He let out a satisfied sigh, feeling more comfortable. He sat back down beside Hidan who had started sleep talking once again. The immortal tossed back and forth until he rested back down facing Kakuzu. He face was calm and peaceful but his eyebrows twitched downwards in a scowl like way. The dream seemed to be nice, he kept repeating words like: love, hold, you, and Kakuzu over and over again.
He was only half listening, every word went through one ear and out the other until Hidan mumbled the word yes fallowed by the word merry. Kakuzu smiled as he looked over at the smaller's sleeping frame. He'd say that every so often, one time he managed to almost say the full sentence. "Yes, I will marry you." or "Will you merry me?" was the sentences he couldn't complete. Kakuzu knew that it was to him due to the amount of times his name was muttered. Unfortunately the two could never get married they were serial killers. Even when they first meet it was too late for the pair to get married, they were well known s-rank murders in most bingo books. If they were to get married they'd end up in prison for the rest of eternity. It was a nice thought through, it was something the two would never experience, they chose to give up on it when they started to kill the innocent. Besides the lack of a simple ring didn't say that the two had a lack of love, no ring or anything else could tell anything how much they loved each other. A last name didn't matter and the title of husbands wasn't an obstacle in the relationship. Hypothetically they could get married in hundreds of years if their crimes were forgotten though even that was unlikely.
Hidan moved in his sleep as his breathing hitched. He slowly rose from the ground while rubbing his eye with the back of his wrist. After a small yawn he opened his eyes looking out at the many trees that bordered them like a wall. "Your finally awake." Kakuzu stated looking away from the tired male. Hidan grunted as he stood up and arched his back stretching his arms as far as they could go. "Good fucking morning." He replied as he took off his top layer. "Fucking hell it's warm out." Hidan complained plopping himself back down. "I think we're getting close to the desert." Hidan groaned and threw himself back dramatically. "What's wrong?" Kakuzu sighed, he knew the smaller male was going to rant about how much he hated something, though he didn't want to hear it. "It's so dry and I get sunburned easily and every fucking night it's freezing and every single motherfucking morning it's like a goddam oven! I fucking hate sand, it burns your feet off and gets everywhere! And the fucking sand storms ar-" "I take it you don't like the desert?" Kakuzu asked sarcastically. Hidan glared at him, not happy that his rant was interrupted "You're motherfucking right I don't. I have no idea how Sasori lived there." Hidan crossed his arms. "Calm down, we're not leaving today." Kakuzu said annoyed. "We're not?" "We're not going anywhere until you're legs heal. You can't keep straining them when we walk." "I'm perfectly fine on my own, I can keep going on, you old bustard! I am not fucking weak either!" Hidan shot back. "I never called you weak. Where the hell did you get that from?" Kakuzu raised an brow, looking over at the angered albino. "I know you were fucking thinking of it bitch!" Hidan yelled. "Is it against your religion to think now?" Kakuzu asked, glaring over at the man. Hidan had calm down his voice was much quicker. "No lord Jashin allows one to think freely." He was still giving Kakuzu a dirty look but with that the argument ended.
Hidan sat on his knees looking at his clothed thighs. He was always getting injured lately and he couldn't figure out why. He looked over at his scythe that sat beside him in case of any danger. He was lost in thought. He didn't feel weaker. Over emotional? Maybe but not weaker. He felt a desperate desire too, his blood lust swirled in him yet he couldn't get his hands on a victim. He still couldn't believe he fell for that stupid trick again but at least this time he didn't end up in some miserable hole. He was still walking and breathing but something inside of him didn't feel right as if none of this was real, he felt the same way when he became immortal and when he was buried alive. He just brushed the odd feeling off but it was still there eating at him like the bugs that had once surrounded him.
