"Kakuzu I'm bored as hell." The smaller man complained. The two had been walking for three days, avoiding villages due to the fact they could be arrested. They had seen nothing but sand and a pale blue sky with the occasional bird flying above looking for something dead to eat. The nights were freezing and bugs often pestered the two.

Hidan's stomach then began to whine for food. "And I'm fucking hungry, can't we stop at a village?" Hidan asked as his stomach continued to growled. "Obviously not." Kakuzu answered, Hidan huffed as he crossed his arms, he tried to think of something to convince his partner to stop somewhere. His magenta eyes drifted upward to the sky, the sun sat still. He could only guess that this was either late morning or early afternoon. he could never remember where the sun rose and where it sank, it wasn't important to him. His gaze lazily moved to his boyfriend's back. A smile spread on his face as he finally thought of an idea to get them to rest. "Don't you need another heart? Since you know the old one turned out to be shitty." He asked, his eyes remained pined on the larger mans back as if trying to see through the jacket he wore. "No, not right now, that can wait." His voice was monotone, he clearly was tired but it was a bad idea to rest on scoring hot sand that covered the ground. The albino let out a sighed of defeat. He looked back up at the sky the sun moved slightly farther away, it was afternoon after all.

"There should be a village is coming up, well stop there for the night." The smile once again appeared on the smaller man's face, he won this time soon they would rest, hopefully on a bed and maybe would be able to get something to eat. "Once we get there can we get some fucking ribs, I miss that shit?" Hidan questioned his eyes glued to the back of Kakuzu's head. "Don't push you luck, Hidan." The voice of witch he answered was firm, he wasn't in a joking mood. A smile spread on Hidan's face. "Fine. Sorry."

After a few hours a village did appear, it was medium most of the houses were made out of stone and wood, a few made out of just wood. There was little patches of grass letting the two know they'd be out of the dessert soon. The sky had began to darken as the sun was lowing itself. Most of the houses were one bed room and there wasn't much light. The sound of flowing water could be hear to the left.

"Let's just kill someone and leave." "But I wanna sleep on a fucking bed again, you old piece of shit and I'm so tired an-" "Shut the fuck up or we'll get caught, you fucking dumbass." Kakuzu cut him off with a glare, witch was returned but not another word was uttered by either they just kept walking across the smooth stone path that was littered in grands of sand. Hidan pouted as his eyes moved and pined themselves to the buildings that covered what little sun shown.

The shadows grew thicker and thicker, darker and dark stretching farther and farther, eating up whatever ground that was dare in its path. The sand had cooled, since the sun had began its hiding. The amount of people were few, it was getting late and criminals were out and about, unknown to them that those very unlawful murders were in there very village. The wind sat still and unmoving, it made no noise, it was silence, it didn't want it's presents know to the point it was barley there.

"Stay here." Kakuzu demeaned, leaving Hidan at a bench. Hidan growled as he watch the older man walk away, but he stayed put. He kicked the sand, already bored before angrily sitting on the bench. The wind wasn't existent but the air began to get cold. He wrapped his sweater around himself tighter, feeling the winds temperature. He heard a man's scream, a smile spread on his face. A few lights flicked on and could be seen through the windows, the cry for help was heard not only by him but by unsurprisingly the villagers that lived there. "Shit." He muttered as he heard footsteps inside of a building.

He felt something grab him, he knew it was he boyfriend. "Hurry up or we're fucked." He said, a blood soaked heart in his hand. The smell of iron found its way to Hidan's nose, making his mouth water. They began running away from the bench in the same detection Kakuzu disappeared to. Hidan saw corpse of a man resting against a blood spattered wall. "It's not fucking fair that you get to kill someone and I don't, you asshole." Hidan complained jokingly. "Actually shut the fuck up." The older man growled, not even bothering to turn back to look at Hidan, who laughed. "Ok, only because I love you, old bustard."

A forest shown itself in the distance, it was somehow their safest option yet the dumbest. The forest was probably well known to the locals because for how close it was to the village, but it would hide them from view of the world. "Of course it's a fucking woods." Hidan muttered under his breath. "You act like that's a bad thing." "It just seems everywhere we go there's the same woods shit but hay at least we're out of that fucking desert." Hidan smirked, then he looked behind them. "There's no one fucking fallowing us." He stated, the news made older slow down to a walking pace as the entered the woodsy area.

They walked a few meters in before Kakuzu sat by a tree and leaned on it. "Keep watch well I put the heart in." Hidan nodded climbing onto the tree to look out for anyone that would approach. "Hay Kakuzu?" Hidan asked. The older let out a hum instead of a proper reply. "How long has it been since you got me out of that shitty hole?" The immortal rested his head on his hand. "A few months." He groaned as he began placing his heart in his body. "It feels so much longer doesn't it?" "Yeah." Hidan stayed quite for a few minutes. "I can't help but feel as if this will end soon." "What do you mean?" "I don't know... like our final chapter in this life is approaching I guess. It feels fucking weird."
