Hidan woke up a few hours later, in Kakuzu's arms. He moaned and rubbed his eyes with his wrists. The smell of blood it made him snap awake. "Kakuzu? Why do I smell blood?" He was worried, he was scared, why was there blood? He couldn't tell. "I killed someone." He said bluntly, coldly, there was no real personality behind the voice. "Without me? Fuck you." Hidan growled, all worry was gone instead his face twisted into a pout. "Is that what you're considered about?" Kakuzu asked sarcastically. Hidan narrowed his eyes. "What's wrong with you?" He questioned, raising a brow. "I don't even know anymore." He groaned, closing his eyes for a moment.
Kakuzu changed the subject. "How are your eyes?" He asked. Hidan stared in the distance for a moment, just blinking. "I need to blink again but I still can't see shit." Hidan stated with a big smile. "I didn't realize you weren't blinking." "Well I did some of the time but like I guess I should have done it more though. My eyes are dry as hell." He said shutting his eyes tightly before opening them again. "Anyway where are we going?" Hidan asked. "The land of hot water." "Oh!~ Can we go to Yugakure?" Hidan asked well play with his hair. "If we happen to come across it sure." Kakuzu stated remembering the fact that this conversation already happened. Hidan smiled and clapped his hands in joy, just like a child would, before his hand went back to playing with the sliver stands that hung from his scalp. "Can you walk with the bandages around you?" Hidan nodded, so Kakuzu gently let him down and held his hand, then they continued to walk. "See, Kakuzu? I can walk perfectly fucking fine." Hidan exclaimed with a giggle, as he resumed playing with his messy, tangled, hair. "Yeah." He said not even bothering to look back at the albino.
They weren't in a forest but it was still a woods-like area, there was a few trees scattered around with short grass and clear sky's. It was beautiful and warm since they were still in the village of fortune, but they luckily were just on the edge of the almost flat land, it was only a few more kilometers and they were out of the fire nation. It was a quite and calming scenery. They were the only two out there, like it was never known to the world, unseen by anyone else's eyes, but unfortunately it wasn't safe to stop, though it truly was gorgeous. There was very few clouds, but the ones that happened to be in the sky were small and didn't create too many shadows on the green hills below them. The dyeing breeze barely blew passed the white flowers that were on the small amount of the strong trees. The sounds of mice under the ground and bugs was the only thing the two could hear other then the others laidback voice as there conversation went on.
Kakuzu started to walked faster, it wasn't running but it was definitely quicker than a walking pace. It was already the middle of the day and he was determined to not stay other night outside. The older man was tired and desperately needed sleep. His eyes and legs were sore yet he kept walking, they were so close yet so far. Hidan was energetic as he always was, though he did notice Kakuzu's lack of energy. "You've been acting odd lately, you anti-social dick. Are you tired? We should take fucking a break?" Hidan asked his voice had a teasing tone though he was completely serious. "No. We now know it's not safe to be out in the open anymore." Kakuzu explained, continuing the quick pace, basically dragging the shorter male behind him, though Hidan soon caught up, not in the mood to trip. All conversation basically ended there with very few words spoken between the two, it was fine yet slightly uncomfortable. It mainly was just Hidan talking loudly, witch annoyed Kakuzu but to stop a future argument so he said nothing. He squeezed his hand tighter. "Ow! Kakuzu, not so tight!" The smaller male hissed, grabbing onto Kakuzu's wrist with his un-held hand. "Hidan, you need to be quiet so they don't find us." He said, allowing his body to loosen it's grip on Hidan's thin hand. Hidan's shoulders sunk down into a much more relaxed position as a calm sigh of relief left his lips. Hidan's grin returned to his face but he said nothing, he just fallowed his partner.
They walked for a few more hours, though soon it did become dark but they didn't stop, but they did slow there speed, due to both becoming more tired. "Dam. I wish I could fucking see shit again. Then I wouldn't have to walk so god-dam long and you could get some fucking sleep." Hidan complained, with a pouting expression on his face. Kakuzu let out a short hum of agreement, also wanting Hidan's eyes to heal soon, he was tired of having to keep him safe, when Hidan used to be able to protect himself and sacrifice anyone who got in the way of him and his god. To think his own eyes and weight would stop a religious murderer, but he wasn't blaming him for what happened, he could get over excited but when angered all thoughts were erased from his head until it was nothing but murderess rage. Kakuzu could be the same way, so it would be hypocritical to say anything. Though it was still wired to think about someone like Hidan an immortal, masochistic, zealot could be stopped by the slow regeneration something he used to be quick at.
