The last few rays of sun hit his pendant, blinding him, until he was in complete darkness. He couldn't hold his breath anymore, his lungs begged by making painful burning feeling, his cheeks became sore, wanting a rest, but if he gave into his needs he'd sink faster. He rehearsed every prayer he knew in his head as a plea for forgiveness to his god. He sank further down into the gates of hell. He was determined to move but no matter how hard he attempted to rise, his body wouldn't react. He remained as a statute, frozen in time forever. His magenta eyes burned from the water that blanketed him. No matter how much pain he was in he remained weak.
Somethings thin yet strong wrapped around his body, he desperately tried to fight back against the thing that pulled him around. He let go of the air he held in his mouth. His stomach and lungs filled with the salted water that surround him. It irritated his sore throat and and lungs. The creature that clasped on his pulled him closer but he was unable to tell what decoration that was, his own brain seemed to swirl in his skull. He tried to scream for help or mercy but more and more water forced its way down his throat. Hidan felt helpless as he was tugged away towards the darkness.
He was to weak to continue his fight, he was forced to give up. He'd have to use what little strength he had left to fight the creature when he found it. His mind struggled against his own frozen body, his thoughts begged his body to move but nothing happened. He was stuck in this paralyzed hell. He could only think, he felt like he was stuck in his own body.
Soon a dim white light came into his view. He blinked a few times so he's eyes could adjust to the odd glow. The sound of water crashing on top of itself rang through his mind as he was yanked up into the night's gorgeous sky. He could finally breathe, he took a quick breath before he was tossed to the earth. He wheezed and violently coughed because he he swallowed a gallon worth of salt water and all the air in him was knocked him. He stayed down, laying motionless in the cold dirt, he needed time to process what happened as well as to regain he's some of his strength. He pushed himself up and moved his knees under him, still coughing. "Oh thank god, you're ok." Hidan turned his head in the direction of the voice. His partner stood not too far away from him. He sat still until he stopped coughing, then he finally spoke. "Yeah. Oh that reminds me: I need to pry too lord Jashin." His voice was weak and frail, his throat was still sore. "Are you fucking serious? You just nearly drowned and your already talking about your goddam cult." Hidan narrowed his eyes and bit his tongue, his twisted into a scowl. "I am not part of a cult. It is a religion." He tried to yell but it just sounded like he was chugging gravel. Kakuzu rolled his eyes as he sighed heavily.
Hidan began coughing that quickly turned into heaving and gagging. He leaned forward, clenching his stomach as the older man held his hair back. "I-I think I'm.... going to-o.... th.. throw u-p." He said through his gagging. "No shit." Kakuzu stroked his back with his other hand. The immortal gagged one last time before he through up nothing but foul smelling water. He squeezed his sides in pain as he panted before he vomited again. He puked several times before he could even move, he was tried to stand up but fell on his side due to his weak legs. "Fuck it all." He groaned still panting. All he could taste vomit, all he could smell was puke and salt, he eyes still burned as tears that leaked out of them fell on the compact dirt beneath him. "Fuck it all." He repeated quietly. He tried to get up again but his side's screamed for him to stay down as more vomit slowly slid up his throat. "Do you want me to carry you?" Kakuzu asked. "No I'm going too fucking vomit again." He moved back on his knees as his stomach cried. The foul liquid shot up his throat again.
Hidan slowly stood up, with a weak pained groan. the inside of his throat felt like it was being pressed up against hot coals, his chest felt like it was being stabbed, the pain was unbearable. He numb legs shook underneath his weight. "God this hurts." He mumbled in a shaky voice under his breath as he grabbed his clothes. "Let's go." Kakuzu put his arm under Hidan's so he could walk back to the area they came from.
Night had already fallen. Dark purples and blues had painted the once red sky. The huge stars seemed tiny as they twinkled their beautiful light. The moon had risen not to long ago, part of it's face still hide behind the silhouettes of the trees that surround them. There wasn't any clouds so they sky was open to show space in all its glory. The now awake nocturnal animals squealed looking for prey to feast on in the distance, their voices barely heard. The wind carried a slight chill with it as it pushed past the two, making them shiver. It wasn't freezing but just cold enough for Hidan put on his sweater since he didn't want to catch a cold. It was a lovely, calming night that night. It was just what the two needed to relax after what happened. It was as if the night itself wanted to show how pretty it could truly be and it had shown all it had, receiving the awards of wonder, amazement and admiration from anyone or thing that gazed upon it. "The sky's pretty." Hidan muttered to himself. The older nodded in agreement. They continued their walk in comfortable silence, there was nothing more to be said. The sky's pretty.
