Kakuzu spotted smoke barely darker then the sky's dark colour up ahead. "We're almost there." He stated as they continued to the direction the smoke was. "I don't remember it taking this fucking long." Hidan said sounding confused. "We're tried." "Yeah no shit. What does that have to do with anything?" Hidan asked narrowing his eyes. "You are an idiot." Kakuzu sighed under his breath, luckily Hidan had not heard him. "How the hell can you tell how close we are anyway?" Hidan asked. Kakuzu realized Hidan was still colour blind. The fire itself appeared in Hidan's sight. "Oh. What a fucking minute you left a fire in the goddam woods?" Hidan yelled.

Before Kakuzu could respond something large moved, hiding in the shadows. "The hell was that?" The albino screamed. "Would you stop fucking yelling?" "Well I'm sorry there's something out here?" Kakuzu remained calm, he wasn't worried in the slightest. The same creature quietly approached and slammed Hidan on the ground. The immortal screamed as he hit the ground. The masked fire heart excitedly slammed its little hands on the ground then rested its full body weight on the sliver haired man. "Kakuzu! Get 'em off, it's crushing me!" Hidan wheezed as he tried to push of the mask. "Hay off!" Kakuzu commanded as he walked past the two, the creature chased after him but turned around to make sure Hidan was coming. Once said male was on his feet and fallowing the mask turned back around and walked to the fire, it kept turning its head back to make sure Hidan was still fallowing. The three sat by the burning fire. The heart immediately pressed his hands against Hidan's chest, feeling for his heartbeat. It once slammed its hands on the ground to show its happiness when it found the rhythmic pounding in his chest.

"Alright, where's the other one?" Kakuzu asked the  bundle of threads. "Wait there's more than one of these thingys?" Hidan asked pointing at the mask, who kept looking back and forth between the two immortal males rapidly, not completely understanding the conversation. Another loud noise came from the darkness and a different mask approached. It sat down beside the human and the other mask. It sat farther away, not wanting to be near Hidan. The fire mask looked at the water who looked back but jerked its head to the other way. "I don't think it likes me." Hidan mumbled under his breath, looking at his boyfriend. Kakuzu shrugged not knowing what to say.

The fire mask got upset that Hidan was no longer paying attention to it, so it hit its own head on the immortal's shoulder. Hidan began to pet its round back, making the mask happy and began hitting his hands on the ground. Hidan laughed at the odd behaviour of the heart that was now acting more like a dog. The water mask watched the to enjoy their time together, it just stared as if questioning if it would like to join them. The stringey monster slowly walked over to the two, it seemed nervous and with every step seemed to question its decision. Once it got to the location it pressed its hidden face into Hidan's lap, jealous of the attention the fire mask was getting. It shoved its face into Hidan's lap harder. The immortal's hand touched its neck gently. Then he began to stroke it, the mask relaxed feeling his hand pet him. "Never mind I think he likes me now." Hidan smiled as he pet both of them.

Kakuzu looked up at the sky above them. The finally moon had shown it's face, the light it produced shine over the space covering it in a layer of blackness. It was still cold, you could see the air the two exhaled. The wind remained calm, though it still made the trees leaves wave goodbye as it passed by. Hidan slipped away from the masks and grabbed the rest of his clothes. The water mask fallowed him with long strides. "Hay you stay here. In case the fire becomes to much." Kakuzu told it. The mask walked in the other way with confidence, resting beside its master watching the fire burn. The fire mask bounced happily as it chased Hidan.

It tried to fallow him behind a tree but Hidan pressed a hand against its forehead. "No you stay here. I'm going to get dressed. You can't fucking watch me." He demand pointing his finger at the ground so the mask knew to not move. The masked twisted its head in confusion but sat down in the spot it was told to. Hidan went behind the tree. The albino took off his sweater and then put rest of his clothing on then put his sweater back on. He came out from behind the tree the mask slammed his front paws on the ground, happy to see him. Hidan and the mask walked back to the fire to find Kakuzu was already asleep. The water heart looked up at them but didn't move. Hidan rested beside his boyfriend but he didn't sleep, instead he looked at the many stars and the moon that twinkled there dim lights. He yawned as he cuddled close to his partner. He felt something large against his back, he knew it was one of Kakuzu's hearts, judging by its warmth it must have been the fire creature. He could feel it's heartbeat against his back and his lovers against his chest, it was relaxing. It made him feel close to someone in these case something as well. His eyelids grew heavy and his breathing slowed as he grew more and more tired. "You'll watch out for anyone, right? Wake us up if you see a brat in purple." Hidan said his speech slurred as he feel into a light sleep. The mask didn't understand what was expected of it but it still stayed up the rest of that night, watching out for any danger that might have happened to present itself to the group, luckily no one appeared that night.
