A few days after his call with Jackie he finds himself outside her house. Today is the day he officially meets his daughters. Since Jackie has revealed to him he is a father he has been scared and nervous. He is nervous yet excited to meet Caroline and Arabella. Nervous because he has no idea if Jackie told the girls what happened between them. Scared because will he be able to be a good father.
Taking a deep breath he gets out of his car and grabs the three bouquets he has on the passenger seat. He goes up to Jackie's door and knocks. A minute passes before he hears the familiar soft voice on the other side.
"Who is it?" Jackie asks.
"It's Jack," he replies through the door.
Jackie opens the door, "Hi Jack."
"Hi, Jackie."
"Come in," she says moving so Jack can come inside.
Jack sees Caroline and Arabella sitting on the sofa brushing their doll's hair. He smiles at the two little girls who look up to see who has entered their home.
"Arabella, Caroline, I would like for you to meet your father John Kennedy," Jackie says sitting down beside the girls on the sofa. Reintroducing them to Jack.
Arabella being shy like her mother slowly walks up to the giant man that's standing in the middle of their living room.
"Hi," she says shyly.
"Hi, Arabella," Jack says coming down to her height, "I bought these for you. Your mother tells me that your favorite color is pink is that true," he asks presenting the little girl with the bouquet of pink flowers.
Arabella doesn't say anything but shakes her head. She takes the flowers and goes to her mother to show her what she got.
Caroline looks at Jack thoughtfully and slowly walks over to him. Jack smiles as Caroline comes closer.
My little mini-me, he thinks to himself. Caroline reminds him so much of himself when he was her age. There's no way that these girls can't be his.
"Hi Caroline," Jack says first, "I bought you some flowers too, your favorite color is yellow is that right?"
Caroline shakes her head excitedly as she accepts the flowers.
Once Caroline joins her mother and sister Jack stands up and walks towards Jackie.
"These are for you," he says presenting Jackie with a bouquet of red roses.
"Oh Jack, you didn't have to do that. Thank you," Jackie replies smiling before putting them down.
"You're welcome."
"Girls, what do you say? she says looking at both of her daughters.
"Thank you," Caroline and Arabella say in unison.
"You're welcome ladies," Jack replies before sitting down on the accent chair close to them.
"So, girls do you want to tell your father about yourselves and he'll tell you about himself," Jackie says caressing her daughter's forehead as they are both buried in their mother's side.
Shyly both girls try to bury their faces into their mother's side as if they're trying to hide from Jack.
Jack smiles and shakes his head. He knows it's going to take some time for the girls to come around and accept him, most importantly get to know him.
"Now both of you had a ton of questions about him before he got here and now nobody wants to say anything," Jackie says to them.
"Arabella can go first, she's older," Caroline says to her mother.
