Bobby walks into the office to hear his brother whistling while he reads over his speech. He notices that Jack has been in a good mood over the past week. Well, he knows that Jack and Jackie went out and most importantly his brother was able to spend more time with his daughters. But this time Jack seems more relaxed more agreeable than he's been over the past months.

"Someone's in a good mood again today," Bobby says.

"What, I'm always in a good mood," he replies to his brother.

"Not since you stopped, Jack," Bobby retorts, "usually you are in a good mood of course when you spend time with Caroline and Arabella. But it seems like since your last visit you in an even better mood.

"I got to spend time with the women I love, isn't that enough to make a man happy. I know when you spend time with Ethel and the kids you are in a good mood."

"Of course, but there are times when Ethel and I engage in adult activities that put me in an even better mood," Bobby says looking down at his papers. Just then it hits him. Jack looks at his brother and doesn't say anything.

"You and Jackie slept together didn't you?" Bobby asks his eyes wide open.

Jack sighs, "yes we did."

"Wow things must be serious between the two of you to take it to that level," Bobby says.

"I would say so. I was shocked when she allowed me to go there with her. Jackie is special and I love her Bobby, so I was a little concerned when she, you know, indicated she wanted to take our relationship to the next level."

"Of course Jack, besides you can't afford to mess up again," Bobby says.

"I know, the last thing I need right now is for something to come along and de-rail everything I've worked so hard for," Jack says.

"Just take it one day at a time like you have been doing, obviously it's showing it's working considering where you and Jackie are in your relationship now," Bobby says trying to assure his older brother.

Later on, that night Jack is sitting on the sofa at his Georgetown home re-reading the speech he was working on earlier. He had just finished getting off the phone with Jackie and the girls before they were to go to bed.

Tapping his cigar on the edge of the ashtray allowing the ashes to fall into its shallow center, Jack thinks about what he said earlier. He doesn't want to lose Jackie, especially with how far they have come. If he wins the election like he plans he wants his three favorite ladies to live with him in the White House. He also plans to be the first President to get married while in office. Jackie is so special he feels it's time to settle down and takes his father's advice on having a wife.

Then why does he have this uneasy feeling as if something is going to happen? For the past few days, he feels as if something is going to come and throw everything off. He isn't sure if it's going to affect his career, his relationship, or both. Either way, he wishes he knew what it was so he could stop it or at least avoid it.

He hasn't talked to Jackie about how he feels because he doesn't want to worry or scare her. Whatever it is he hopes it doesn't do any major damage to his career most importantly costing him the love of his life.
