"Jack, Jack, oh Jack, wake up," he hears in his sleep but he hears it in Jackie's voice.

"Yeah kid," he says waking up. Only to see it's Bobby waking him up from his nap.

"Jack it's me Bobby, sorry to disappoint," Bobby says walking towards the door that leads to the main cabin.

"Christ, Bobby you couldn't give me five more minutes. I was just about to kiss Jackie," he replies gruffly pulling the blanket back over his face. Hoping that he would be able to finish his dream.

"Sorry, I was coming to let you know we're about to land. Speaking of Jackie, aren't you going over to her house tonight to have dinner with her and the girls?" Bobby inquires looking at the picture of his nieces on the mini dresser.

"Yes, once we land I'm going straight home to change. Also, I don't want to be disturbed, so can you let Kenny and everyone else know that I won't be home," Jack says changing into a clean shirt.

"Got it," Bobby replies before going back into the main cabin.

Jack sits down on the side of the bed and sighs. Even though Jackie is on the campaign trail with him. They don't get to spend much time together, other than when she is covering an event or interviewing him during a debate.

As much as he would like for the two of them to somewhat pick up where they left off several years ago. He knows that he has a lot of work to do. Jackie isn't going to give in easily.

The plane lands at approximately around five pm which only gives him maybe twenty minutes to shower and dress once he gets home.

After the forty-minute ride from the airport due to traffic, Jack quickly makes his way upstairs and showers. He picks out a simple polo shirt and slacks. Even though he wants to look good, he doesn't want to overdo it.

Quickly descending the steps as fast as he can his back begins to protest all the fast movement. He groans and begins to massage his back to ease some of the pain slightly. Even though the medication Dr. Travell seems to be lessening the days he's in pain. Jack knows that all the campaigning isn't helping either. Sleeping on different mattresses at different hotels is messing with his back.

Once the pain has subsided he makes his way out to his car and takes off for the short ride to Jackie's house. Thankfully she only lives a few blocks away.

Jackie had already returned home from the campaign trail early to be with the girls as he knows she doesn't like being away from them too long. Thanks to her articles and stories, he's seeing an increase in crowds.

Parking the car, Jack bounds up the three steps that lead to Jackie's front door. He knocks and lets out a breath he didn't even realize he was holding. For some reason, he feels a little nervous about dinner. This will be the first time since they were at the Cape they'll be eating dinner together as a family, yet this will be the first time they will eat dinner together where it's just the four of them.

He is distracted from his thoughts when the door opens and there stands the woman who has been haunting his thoughts and dreams. She looks beautiful, dressed in something simple as a cashmere sweater and pants. Her chocolate hair is pulled back from her face except for the bangs that brush against her perfectly arched brows.

"Hello Jack, please come in," she says in the breathy voice that always seems to pull him deeper into her spell.

"Hey Jackie," he replies walking past her once she moved out of the doorway, "thanks for allowing me to have dinner with you and the girls."

"You're welcome," she says to him. Before he could say anything else, she calls Caroline and Arabella to inform them that their father has arrived.
