The rest of the week, while Jack was home, went by in a blur. Now he is back on the road campaigning. He spent some time with the girls taking them to the movies and then to dinner. Giving Jackie some time to be by herself as well as get work done.

Thankfully the media hasn't been too intrusive when it comes to Jackie and the girls. Even though you do have those few reporters who are determined to be a pain. After the press conference, there were a few papers that were reaching out for info. Also didn't help they found out someone from Lyndon's camp was the one who leaked the news about Jackie and the girls.

Now Bobby is trying to figure out how this person was able to obtain this information. Then the next move is to figure out how they can present this information to Lyndon and his people, and what should they do going forward.

So deep in his thoughts, he didn't hear Bobby enter his room.

"Jack, Jack," he hears Bobby calling him.

"What!?" he snaps.

"The hell is wrong with you?" Bobby asks slightly annoyed.

Jack sighs and sits up. "Nothing, I just have a lot on my mind."

"Is everything ok with Jackie and the girls?" Bobby asks concern filling his voice.

"Yes, they're fine. I was just thinking about Jackie and me."

"Ok. What is she to you?" Bobby inquires.

"She's the mother of my children. The most stubborn woman I've ever met."

"Well, Jack what did you expect considering how you ended things?" Bobby asks confused.

"I know. She insists that we be friends and just raises Bella and Buttons together. I don't want to be friends with Jackie, I want more."

"You may want to try a different method because the one you are using isn't working."

"I did, I'm trying Bob. Christ this is harder than I thought," Jack replies putting his head in his hands.

The other night after helping Jackie put the girls to bed, they went downstairs to talk. While Jackie was washing dishes they talked about the girl's schooling. Then the subject went to the campaign and then to their so-called relationship status. Jackie made it clear she's not focused on them getting back together right now but on them having a good co-parenting relationship and her career. A definite blow to his ego.

"How Jack?"

"Like you said she wants me to stop with all the others. Jackie said that she can't be with a man who isn't going to be unfaithful to her."

"Damn she said it straight like that?"

"Yup, so I have some more work to do."

Bobby looks at his brother and can't believe he heard his brother is going to give up his fan base. Jacqueline Bouvier must be one special woman because at one point he thought his brother was a lost cause.

"Well the good thing is since she's on the campaign trail with you, it'll make it a little easier on you."

"I guess. I never tried to stop cold turkey Bob, I hope I can do this."

Later on that night...  Jackie's POV

Jackie is sitting on her bed in her hotel room talking to her sister Lee while going over her notes from today's campaign event. Jack gave another speech this time in front of the Houston Ministerial Society. This speech he gave was to answer his critics about him being a Catholic running for office.
