Jack paces the makeshift office back and forth, his mind consumed by Jackie's ex-husband trying to come back into the picture. Everything seemed to be going well between him and Jackie, she has finally told him she loved him. Now her bastard of an ex-husband is trying to unravel everything.

"Hey earth to Jack," he hears when he turns to see Bobby standing behind him.

"Jesus Bob, make some noise next time. You almost gave me a damn heart attack," he snaps.

"Sorry, you are in an awful bad mood today. What's gotten into you?" Bobby asks.

"Nothing," he says sitting down.

The last thing he wants to do right now is to talk about his love life problem. He needs to focus on the campaign but he is having a hard time doing so. Ever since Saturday night, he is worried Jackie is seriously entertaining the idea of getting back with her ex-husband. What makes it worse is he hasn't had much time to talk to her since then. When he calls he mostly talks to Caroline and Arabella.

"It's something because you were a lot nicer the week after the convention. Lately, you've been snappy and it's starting to piss me off," Bobby states as he gathers up the papers in front of him.

"I just got a lot on my mind right now Bob," Jack replies leaning back in his chair.

"Are Jackie and the girls ok?" Bobby asks concerned.

"Yes, they are just fine. I'm just wondering if I can pull this off. The last thing I need is to lose this election, I'm not trying to become a failure in dad's eyes."

"You won't fail Jack, believe me, we will win. We are Kennedys, we win all the time."

"I know Bobby, I know. I have heard that all my life. This time it's different because everyone can't be bought," he says before getting up and storming out of the room.

He makes his way out to the beach and sits down on one of the rocks. He doesn't want to lose his girls and Jackie. If Jackie were to take John back that means they'll move back to New York with him. It wouldn't stop him from seeing his daughters, but he wouldn't be able to have the three of them move into the White House with him.

What he wants more than winning the Presidency is to have his family with him. Ever since he's stopped sleeping around, he feels lonely when he's at home. His house only feels like home when Jackie and the girls are there with him. He doesn't want to move into that large mansion by himself without the three most important ladies in his life.

The love he feels for Jackie is deep and losing her would be a blow he isn't sure he could bare. A part of him is trying to look on the bright side as Jackie told him she loved him. Jackie isn't the type of woman to say something like that and then take it back. Still, there's a little voice inside telling him he may lose them.

Come on Jack, you have to continue to fight for her. You have always been a fighter. You can't give up now because that bastard is back in the picture. Prove to her you are the best one for her... he thinks to himself.

Without a second thought, he gets up and goes back inside heading straight to his bedroom. He picks up the phone dialing Jackie's phone number.

The phone rings a couple of times before he hears the soft voice that haunts his fantasies.

"Hey Jackie, it's Jack," he says.

"Hi Jack," she replies.

"Do you have a minute to talk?"

"Uh sure," she replies.

"Ever since John showed up at your house Jackie, I've been nervous. I love you Jackie and I know you love me too, I don't want to lose what we have."

"I know Jack, and believe me John and I had a long talk after you left."

"So you are going to take him back?" he asks ready for his heart to break.

"No, I'm not taking John back. I told you I love you and I meant it. I'm not one to take things back."

"Good, I'm glad to hear that," he says releasing a breath he didn't realize he was holding.

"I honestly wasn't expecting John to show up; especially after all this time."

"You're an incredible woman Jackie," he replies.

"Thank you, Jack."

"You're welcome," he pauses, "uh Jackie are you busy this weekend?"
