Jackie's POV...
Jackie is sitting on the side of her naked mattress as the sheets have been taken off earlier to be packed up. Since the New Year has come in, she has found herself busier than usual. Between work, her fittings for her inaugural gown, and packing for their big move to the White House to be with Jack.
This week has been bittersweet as she finished up her farewell article. She is finishing the last of her packing before they move in with Jack for the last week and a half before officially moving into the White House on January 20th, which is also Inauguration day.
Thankfully they are holding off on the wedding until after the Inauguration, which gives her more time to plan. But, unfortunately, designing her Inaugural gown and the move itself has taken up most of her time.
After today her life will never be the same. She will have a new life with her daughters and her soon-to-be husband. Jacqueline Bouvier will become a public figure like the ones she interviewed and wrote about.
Caroline and Arabella run into their mother's room. "Mommy! Mommy! Daddy's here," they say excitedly.
"Alright, let's go and let him in," Jackie replies, smiling at her daughters.
The trio goes downstairs, Jackie opening the door to let Jack inside.
"Hello, beautiful," Jack says, smiling at Jackie.
"Hi," Jackie replies before Jack captures her lips.
"Ewww," Arabella and Caroline exclaim while covering their eyes.
"I'm sorry, girls. Your mother looks beautiful today," Jack says, winking at Jackie.
Jackie watches, and he picks up his daughters.
"Are you ready to go home with Daddy?" Jack asks his daughters.
"Yes!!!" Arabella and Caroline scream excitedly.
Jackie smiles and replies, "yes, I'm ready."
Jack puts his daughters down to allow them to grab the last of their things.
Jackie looks around at her place, that's now empty, minus a few pieces of furniture that have yet to be picked up.
"You ok, kid?" Jack asks, putting his arm around her.
"I'm fine, just taking one last look around," Jackie replies.
"I know you and the girls had a lot of good memories here," Jack says.
"Yes, we did, but I'm looking forward to making new ones with you," Jackie says, looking into his eyes.
Then the thundering sound of feet descending the stairs fills the room.
"We're ready, daddy," the twins exclaim, carrying their bags.
"Alright, let's go."
After making sure the girls are settled into their new bedroom, and Jackie is comfortable in his room, the family goes out for dinner.
When they return, mom and dad put their daughters to bed in their new bedrooms. Then, kissing Arabella and Caroline good, Jack and Jackie retire to their bedroom.
Jack closes the door and puts his arms around Jackie.
"I've been wanting to do this all day," Jack says, pulling Jackie into his arms and kissing her passionately.
Jackie wraps her arms around Jack's neck. Slowly Jack backs them to the bed, causing both to topple onto it. In a matter of minutes, clothes are scattered everywhere. The two of them determined to christen their new bed.
