Cassanova: a man known for seducing women and having many lovers

"You ever stop to think about what you do and how it is going to affect you once you are in the White House, let alone you trying to win Jackie back?"

Bobby's question replays over and over again in his head. Many times over the years Bobby has got on him about his womanizing, or as someone described him as being a modern-day Cassanova. As usual, he tells Bobby not to worry as he has everything under control. Now that Jackie is back in the picture and running for the Presidency, he doesn't have an answer.

His stopping is another thing altogether is another issue. He never sat down and really thought about the day when he would decide that his womanizing would end. Of course, if he's trying to win Jackie back he would have to be more discreet if she gets any sort of inkling about one of his women, it's all over. Even though she hasn't expressed it, he knows that she will make it known that she doesn't like it.

Besides is this the type of example that he wants to show his daughters? For his precious Arabella and Caroline to grow up and fall in love with a man like himself. Thinking for one moment causes him to become angry. He wouldn't want his daughters to know that feeling. So why should he put their mother who is someone's daughter through the same heartache? Yet, Black Jack Bouvier wasn't too far off from his own father.

Not wanting to think about the issue anymore he focuses on the party he is about to attend that his brother Peter Lawford is throwing in his honor tonight. After a shower and dressing, Jack makes his way over to his sister Pat and Peter's house. Once outside he checks his image before ringing the doorbell to announce his arrival.

Just then the door swings open there stands Peter with a cigar and scotch in his hand.

"Jack, how the hell are you!? Oh, I'm sorry Mr. President," Peter says with a wink.

"Hello Peter, please Jack is fine," he replies with a small laugh.

"Please come on in everyone is waiting for you," Peter says moving so Jack can enter the house.

"Where's Pat," Jack asks looking for his younger sister.

"She's upstairs with the kids, Christopher said he couldn't fall asleep."

"Aww, poor kid. He just wants to see his Uncle Jack and join the party," he replies with a smile.

"Yeah, maybe next time. Why don't you mingle with the other guests? Besides Marilyn Monroe is in attendance. She can't wait to meet you, Jack," Peter says slapping Jack on the back with a knowing wink.

He makes his way to the bar to get a drink before finding the starlet. He's always wanted to meet her and with Peter's connections, it's finally happening. As he walks into the dining room he hears the laughter from multiple gentlemen who are sitting around the blonde bombshell who is in the middle of what seems to be a story.

She looks up at him and smiles. "Oh my gosh it's Senator Kennedy," she says excitedly.

"Evening everyone," he replies nodding in Marilyn's direction.

"It's so nice to finally meet you, Senator," Marilyn says getting up from her seat. She walks over to him and extends her hand. Giving her that old Kennedy smile he takes her hand and gives it a firm shake. "It's nice to finally meet you, Ms. Monroe," he replies.

Marilyn lets out a giggle like a young girl does when she's around her crush. "My Senator, you have a very strong grip," she says flirtatiously. Tonight is going to be a very interesting night.

By the end of the party, he finds himself met at the door by Marilyn.

"Oh Senator, it seems we're heading out at the same time," she says this time obviously flirting with him.

"Yes, it seems we are," he replies looking directly into her eyes.

Something about them seemed suggestive like she has something else on her mind.

" I was wondering if you would like to come back to my room for a nightcap. I would love to learn more about politics, and the day-to-day of being a Senator," she says moving in close almost inches away from his face.

In his mind, the chase is over and now it's time for the kill. Even though he prefers the chase, the kill can be just as fun. Bedding the biggest sex symbol of the century is on the top of his list. By the end of the night, he hopes to have checked her off.

"I would like that," he says turning on more of the charm.

"Good," Marilyn replies giggling.

"Peter, give Pat my love. I would like to thank you both for a fun evening," he says turning to his brother-in-law.

They both say their goodbyes before he and Marilyn get into their respective cars. Coincidently they both happen to be staying at the same hotel.

Once he has arrived at the hotel, he goes to his room and changes before making his way to Marilyn's room. Just as he is about to leave there is a knock at the door.

"Who is it?" he asks.

"It's me Kenny," the voice replies.

He opens the door to see Kenny standing there.

"Kenny, I thought you were calling it a night?" he asks perplexed.

"I was, but just as I had got to my room, the front desk had informed me that Jackie had called."

He sighs and runs a hand through his hair. Going to Marilyn's room tonight had been so heavily on his mind, he forgot that he told Jackie that he would call to say goodnight to the girls.

"How long ago did they say she called?"

"A half-hour ago, she is probably still awake," Kenny replies.

"Ok, I'll call her now. Thank you, Kenny," he replies wanting to make the call quickly before Marilyn falls asleep.

Kenny excuses himself and returns to his room. He sits down and dials the operator asking to be connected to the east coast.

After a couple of rings, he hears a breathy voice answer the phone.

"Hello?"

"Hey kid, sorry I'm just getting back to you."

"It's ok Jack, I know how busy you are," Jackie replies.

Not wanting to waste any more time he gets right to the point.

"Is everything ok with the girls? Are they still awake?"

"Yes Jack, they are fine; and no they just went to sleep. They did want me to tell you that they love you," Jackie replies, sensing the urgency in his voice, "everything is fine, I feel like you have a more pressing engagement."

"I'm sorry kid, I'm supposed to be meeting with Kenny in the lounge before it closes in ten minutes to discuss today's numbers," he replies.

"Ok, well we will talk to you tomorrow. Good night Jack," she replies.

"Good night kid," he replies before putting the phone back on the receiver.

Making sure he has everything he makes his way over to Marilyn's room. Hopefully, she is still up for the best night of her life.
