The Senator's Twin Daughters

Chapter 13

Jackie's POV

"So mommy, we get our room at Daddy's house?" Caroline asks excitedly.

"Yes sweetheart, your father told me that he has put a room together especially for you two," Jackie replies.

"Yay!!" Arabella and Caroline scream in excitement.

"Why don't you two finish packing a couple more toys. I'll be back in a little."

"Ok mommy," both girls reply as they go to their toy boxes.

Once Jackie goes into her bedroom she sits down on her bed and picks up her cigarette pack. Right now she felt that she could use a cigarette as she felt a little on edge. For whatever reason, she didn't know. It's not like Jack said the girls would permanently move in with him. He wants them to have space of their own when they stay with him. Still the thought of her girls away from her scares her, even if they are going to stay with their father.  

Speaking of their father, Jack Kennedy has a way of making a woman weak. She still thinks about the kiss they shared a few weeks ago, the night he came over for dinner. Throughout the entire dinner, she thought that she could stand her ground. She wouldn't make it easy for him to come back. Once he kissed her, she wasn't so sure if she would be able to keep up her reserve for too much longer. Between his eyes, his voice, charm, and the way kisses her keeping him at a distance proves to be easier said than done.

After finishing her cigarette, she returns to her daughter's room to check on them.

"Are you all set?" she asks sitting down on Caroline's bed.

"Yes, can I pack a few more toys mommy?" Arabella asks.

"You can sweetie, but I'm sure daddy has toys waiting for you in your room."

"Ok," Arabella replies putting three toys back in their place.

"Mommy are you excited? We get our room at Daddy's house," Caroline inquires standing in front of her mother looking at her with the same eyes that the man whose house they are about to visit possess. 

"Yes I'm excited," Jackie replies feigning excitement.

"Mommy have you thought more about having another baby?" Arabella asks.

"I have, but I need to talk to daddy about it. He has been so busy that I haven't had a chance to discuss the subject with him."

Just then the doorbell rings announcing there is someone at the door.

"That should be your father," Jackie says getting up to answer the door.

"Yay," Arabella and Caroline exclaim.

Jackie goes downstairs only to see her mother and sister standing at the door.

"Mom, Janet what are you doing here?" Jackie asks surprised as she opens the door.

"We just wanted to stop by and see you and the girls," the older Janet says entering the house.

Jackie hugs her youngest sister and kisses her mother's cheek.

"I'm glad to see you, but Jack is on his way to take us to his house so we can spend family time together," she says motioning for her mother and sister to sit. 

"Oh family time, I'm surprised he even has time for you. All I can say is be careful Jacqueline," Janet says looking at her eldest daughter.

When she first told her mother about her and Jack's agreement when it comes to the girls. Janet made her feelings known about her reservations against Jack. She feels like he is going to try to manipulate Jackie by using her granddaughters. Janet knows that he is trying to win Jackie back, but she doesn't like that he's trying to get her back yet he is still sleeping around with multiple women.
