Trapped (Full Story)

Chapter 30

"What the shuck! This is brilliant!" Newt says around a mouthful of s'more, making me giggle. "How did you come up with this?" 

I shrug and look at my hands as I played with them between my propped up legs, my elbows on my knees. "I don't know how s'mores were made," I say, finding some truth. 

Newt simply continues eating his s'more while I get lost In thought. 

What was everyone doing back home? Did they notice I was gone? And what would happen to me once we got out of the maze? Would WICKED use me as a side experiment? Would I ever even get home? 

"Wow, this is some sticky bugger," Newt says, taking me out of my thoughts. I look at him and immediately start laughing. 

"What?" Newt asked, chocolate all over his mouth. 

"You-you got a little something," I laugh, taking the tip of my jacket and wiping the chocolate off. Once I was done, I slightly brought it away. 

My gaze then fell on Newt's eyes and I was trapped. His soft eyes showing golden stars from the sparks of the fire light. I feel myself leaning in when Minho comes over. 

"Yo y/n!" Minho calls, sitting right between me and Newt, putting his arm on the back of the log while his other hand fed him his s'more. "This tastes amazing! What other things do you know about that we don't?" 

I simple roll my eyes and say: "oh ya, plenty." I chuckle at a memory of me and one of the few friends I had ever made went to a karaoke party. "One of our favorite things was singing songs. They mostly just came to our heads out of nowhere, but they were always fun. The funnest was when we saw who could rap the fastest or who could come up with the most creative dance." I reminisce. 

"Do you sing or dance?" Newt asks. 

"Oh no! I couldn't," I say. 

"We'll see about that," Minho smirks. 

"What does that mean?" I ask. Minho simply ignores me and continues eating.
