Chapter 19

After I clean, I sit back down next to Newt and take his hand again.

"Oh there he goes again. Every morning it's the same. You walk on by myself and I want to call out your name," I begin to sing. "In my dreams, your with me. We'll be everything I want us to be! And from there, who knows? Maybe this will be the night that we kiss, for the first time. Or is that just me and my imagination?"

Once I'm done, a tear falls down my cheek and I wipe it away.

Get a hold of yourself y/n!

The rest of the day was like that, just me sitting with Newt with the occasional Alby and Minho. The next day was basically the same, except today I sung "Hold On" by Chord Overstreet Instead of "Imagine" by Shawn Mendes.

"Loving and Fighting. Accusing, Denying. I can't imagine a world with you gone. The joy and the chaos, the demons we're made of. I'd be so lost if you left me alone! You locked yourself in the bathroom. Lying on the floor when I break through. I pull you in to feel your heartbeat. Can you hear me screaming "Please don't leave me!" Hold on I still want you. Come back, I still need you. Let me take your hand, I'll make it right. I swear to love you all my life. Hold on I still need you."

By the end I was In tears.

What if he never woke up? It would be all my fault!

I hear footsteps and I quickly wipe my tears away.

A knock on the door and Minho's head pops in. "Miss me?" He smirks.

"Not even close shuckface." I scoff. Minho fakes being hurt and I roll my eyes.
"So how was the maze?" I ask.

"How was watching an unconscious person?" He comebacks. I roll my eyes and allow a weak chuckle. "Fair enough."

Minho's smirk fades a little as he sits down. We talk a little, mostly small talk which was really lame.

"Hey Princess," Minho says. "Where are you gonna sleep after Newt heals?" I shrugged my shoulders and reply: "I guess in my clearing." Minho nods before walking off.
