*Newt's P.O.V.*
After y/n stormed away after she beat Gally, I knew I had screwed up.
Big time.
I tried to follow her into the deadheads, but it got too difficult with my crutches. I gave up and went back to our room. She would be there in the morning.
But when I woke up, she wasn't there. As I got up, Clint came in with a plate of food.
"Hey Clint, where's y/n?" I ask.
Clint sits on y/n's bed across from me as he hands me the food and replies: "Sorry Newt, y/n's taking the day off."
"What?" I ask in shock. Clint nods his head and says: "Sorry Newt."
I groan and put my head in my hands.
"C'mon Newt, eat up! We got some stuff to do today!" Clint says, pushing the plate closer to me. I roll my eyes and eat it up best I can.
We then walk around the Glade, but after awhile I ask for a break. We sit on a bench near the gardens and I gladly plop myself down and rest my head in my hands again.
"You ok Newt? You've been acting preoccupied all day!" Clint says.
I shake my head and reply: "No. No I'm not ok. I basically told y/n she was weak cause she's a girl and then she stormed away after she challenged Gally to prove me wrong. And now it seems like she's avoiding me!" Clint nods his head and pats my shoulder.
"Here, give me a second and I'll see if she Is mad at you," He then gets up and leaves but I simply stay there until he comes back.
"Alright shank, here's what you gotta do," Clint says as he comes back. "When y/n comes back, go and ask to talk to her, then apologize."
I look at him and reply: "Are you a bloody Idiot, Clint? She won't just accept my apology!"
"But she'll at least listen!" Clint protests.
I sigh and shrug my shoulders. "Fine. When she gets back."
Clint smiles and pats my back before helping me up.
"Just 8 more weeks till you're off the crutches!" Clint exclaims.
I give him a weak smile and we continue our walk.
But the whole time, I'm looking around for y/n and planning what I'm gonna say.
