Trapped (Full Story)

Chapter 37

I wake up on a cot in a new room. 

I'm confused, not sure where I am. I then see a note on the bedside table and pick it up. 

"Hey y/n. You fell asleep on me last night so I carried you off to bed. I asked Nick If there was any open bedrooms and he said one just opened up next to Newt's. I'm sorry It's close to him, but he still needs your medical expertise. I also asked Nick If we could have the day off and he agreed. So meet me at your clearing at lunch. -Philip" 

I smile and get up, going to Newt's room to collect my stuff. I come back and change into a button up shirt with a tank top underneath and some long jean shorts. I then put my hair up in a high, messy ponytail. I look at the time on my watch and see that it's 11:36. A little less than thirty minutes. 

I decided to take a walk around the Glade to pass the time. 

As I'm walking around, I found Clint talking with Newt on a bench near the gardens. I wave at Clint and he jogs over, patting Newt's shoulder before heading over. 

"Hey y/n! How's your day off so far?" He asks. 

I shrug and reply: "So far so good. What's got Newt down?" I ask, looking over at Newt who has his head in his hands. 

"He's just wondering when he can start working again," Clint explains. 

"When he gets off his crutches, so around 8 weeks." I reply. Clint smiles and hugs me which I gladly return. 

"Alright, I'll tell him. Thanks y/n." He then jogs off and I continue my walk, heading to my clearing a few minutes later. 

When I walk through the trees, I find a picnic waiting for me with Philip putting a few mint leaves around the blanket. "Well isn't this a surprise," I giggle. Philip jumps up and wipes his pants off. 

"Well, it was meant to be!" Philip replies. I walk over and kiss his cheek. 

"Well I love it, thanks Philip." His face brightens and he gestures for me to sit down. He hands me a sandwich and we begin to eat. 

I notice him looking at me and I ask: "What?"
