Chapter 1

Hi! My name's y/n!

I know this will sound crazy, but I swear it's true! Ready? Wait, who am I kidding? No one would ever be ready enough for this!

I am trapped in a shucking book! But not just any plain old book. No way! I am trapped in James Dashner's famous trilogy; The Maze Runner.

I don't know how the shuck this happened! Shuck! I'm a fangirl from (wherever you live)! I'm not extraordinary! I'm just... well, I'm just me! I'm usually In my room all day. I can basically do whatever I want to, my foster parents don't care. But still. I'm trapped in a book!

I know you must be confused, well so am I!

But I'll explain to you what happened anyway. Maybe I missed something.

Ok, I remember it being a pretty lame day. I had just gotten home from school (I'm a sophomore) and I was so tired! I went to my room in the basement and pulled out the first Maze Runner book. The last thing I remember tho was reading the first chapter. When I woke up again, I found myself in a small grove with a giant wall on my left! It was so huge! It was covered in ivy and was made of cold stone.

"Huh." I remembered smirking to myself. "Reminds me of the Glade."  I snicker at the thought before getting up and deciding to figure out how to get out of this weird dream.

I walked away from the walls since that was an obvious dead-end. I kept walking, the forest so thick it was hard to see.

After who knows how long, I began climbing up what I thought was the tallest tree.

When I finally reached the top, I looked out and saw... THE GLADE?!

"Ok. I've been obsessing over that book too much!" I say.

I looked closer and noticed boys going about their daily lives. I smile at the picture.

But suddenly, I realized that I wasn't asleep. This was all too real; the feeling of the tree, the imagery. It was all too detailed.

And that's when I nearly fell off and killed myself. I was In the Glade, inside WICKED's maze.
