Chapter 41

*Newt's P.O.V.*

Before dinner, I see Philip and y/n come out of the deadheads towards the homestead. I tell Clint and he urges me to follow them, which I do. But at a way slower pace.

I miraculously make it up the stairs and notice the door next to mine slightly opened.

I walk towards It. I peek in and see y/n's feet at the edge of the bed.

I knock and a second later, Philip answers the door.

What was Philip doing with y/n exactly anyways?

And was this her new room?

"Hey, I gotta talk to y/n." I say to Philip, looking past him to see y/n laying on her side with her back towards me, her eyes halfway closed.

"Sorry, she's tired. Had a long day. She'll talk to you later tho," Philip explains.

I nod my head and begin to walk away. I go to my room tho and look through the drawers and closet.

All of y/n's stuff was gone!

I guess I'll ask Alby If Nick let y/n move rooms.

As I'm coming down the stairs, I hear a door close upstairs and footsteps begin to come down.

"Will you let me through? You're taking awhile." Philip says behind me, rolling his eyes.

I move to the side and he runs past me.

Y/n must be asleep.

But I still had to find a way to apologize.

How long could she hold a grudge anyway?

I go back to dinner and Clint helps me with a plate. I sit in front of Alby and ask: "Did y/n get her own room?"

Alby nods his head and answers: "Ya, Philip was saying that she had wanted her own personal space. Nothing too big. And then the bricknicks finally fixed up that empty room, so she took it. Why? Didn't she tell you?"

I shake my head. "She hasn't talked me all day."

Alby looks at me and asks: "You're both like best friends, why isn't she talking to you?"

I shake my head and reply: "I'll work it out, I promise. What else has been going on?"

Throughout the rest of the day, I kept thinking of my best friend.

What could I do?
