I'm sorry, but I don't want to be a science experiment!

I had always dreamed about being a runner. That seemed so refreshing!

But this was all going to go away soon.

I turn back to look at the Glade and notice all of them going to dinner.

Suddenly, a boy passes in front of the deadheads before going to the kitchen. He was muscular and well toned. He had tan skin and spiked, black hair. His eyes were also dark and he appeared Asian.

Minho.

He took a glance into the deadheads before jogging to the kitchen for some of Frypan's grub.

Mhm! That food smelled delicious! I had read that the boys only made fun of Fry's cooking just for the kicks. But in reality, it was amazing!

Oh well.

Maybe next time he'll have some leftovers lying around.

I then notice Alby running out towards the map room to meet another boy. "How was the maze?" Alby asked the boy.

He shrugged and they began walking towards my tree. "Same old, same old huh? But I know there's an exit! Why else would they put us here?" Alby asks.

The boy nods and replies in a British accent which makes my heart flutter; "Ya. I agree with you on that shank. Now can we please get some bloody food? I'm starving!" Alby laughs before hitting the boys shoulder and jogging to the kitchen.

The boy follows Alby with his eyes before looking above the deadheads at the maze walls. My heart stops when I see who he is.

I should've recognized from the voice!

The boy's blond hair was long and shaggy, glowing with a soft light from the fading sun. His face sharp and handsome, holding some of the warmest, chocolate brown eyes that held a great kindness and knowledge.

Newt took one more sweep of the maze walls before running to the kitchen for his food from Frypan.

When he left, I finally began breathing air again.

I suddenly felt the desire to be with him but stopped myself.

No y/n. You're going home soon.
