Madeline's POV

There I was, standing in front of the pizzeria that I've left for six years. Am I really going to do this? I mean, am I really going to get device from Skylar? I need a job and all, but why here? My feeling is that if I've been gone for so long, why would I come back now? Does it even matter anymore?

I opened the double doors and stepped inside. Looking around, I saw children running around, nothing's really changed since I've been gone. My head turned to my old animatronic friends on stage that were singing.

Once they had finished their song, Freddy's head shot towards me, making me jump a little. He continued to glare at me, like as if I was up to something. I quickly looked away from him and wandered around to fined Mr. Freddy's office. Since children are forbidden to go there, it could be a hallway where nobody is at.

I turned my head to the left and saw a hallway that was empty. Maybe that's where his office is. I shrugged and walked down the hallway, feeling someone watching me. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Freddy still watching every move I made. Did he know it was me? I shivered and picked up my pace.

The hallway was dark, only three lightbulbs flickered on and off. Like they haven't been changed in along time. There we some cob webs around the ceiling too, as if the janitors never come down here. Like they're afraid too.

I shut my eyes and sighed. This place has really gone down hill. Yet, it still seems to be booming with business.

I opened my eyes and froze. This, this wasn't the hallway to Mr. Freddy's office! This was the hallway to...

PRIZE CORNER!

I started to panic silently. I couldn't have him knowing I was here. I wanted to turn around and run, but curiosity got the better of me and I walked in further. I looked around and saw dust drawings with slash marks all over them. Some of the presents were crushed, like a person stomped on them.

Marionette's box was still near the prize counter. I slowly walker over to it and knelt down. Muffled sounds were coming from it so I put my head against it and listened.

"The days seem longer than the nights. RAA! I just want to get out of here already and kill something!"

I got up quickly and stepped back. That was not Marionette. He would never do that screeching noise. As I continued to step back I accidentally stepped on one of the drawings on the floor, which
made a rustling sound.

"What the? Who's out there?" Marionette called out

Oh no, run Madeline run!

I dashed out of Prize Corner and down the hallway. Why did you do that Madeline? Why? And, why was nobody in Prize Corner? Did children not like him anymore? I let those thoughts slip past my mind. After all, I have a more important thing to do, find Mr. Freddy.

I got back to the party room and looked around. Then I saw, Mr. Freddy. Looking around the place as well! How could I be any luckier?

I straightened my jacket and put a friendly smile on my face. I calm walked over to Mr. Freddy. I know he's gonna want to know my name, but maybe he doesn't know my last name so he won't be able to recognize me.

"Excuse me sir, are you the manager of this place?" I asked politely, even though I knew it was him already. I just want to give a good impression.

"Why yes I am miss. Can I help you?" He replied

"Well, my friend told me that you were hiring. So I was wondering if I could apply"

Mr. Freddy looked at me, then nodded. "Alright, come with me to my office and we'll talk".
