Marionette's POV

"I think there be one in the office." Foxy told Madeline. She leaned forward and looked into the dark, empty hallway. She blinked once. And sighed. Madeline got off of prize counter and started to walk toward the door, but I stopped her before she even had the chance to leave. "Where are you going?". She turned around and her thumb pointed to the hall. "Gotta go get the screwdriver. I'll be right back."

"No. you're going to stay right here and I'll go get the- HEY GET BACK HERE MADDIE!" I called to the girl who ignored every word I said. I watched as she started heading down the hallway. My mouth stayed open for awhile. She didn't listen...nope...she didn't listen. Now there is a chance of her dying cause she didn't listen to what I said. Do my words not matter? I'm trying to keep her safe but she just wants to put herself in danger! It makes things more complicated for me!

"Can you believe that girl? She payed no attention to me. She just goes and does want she wants." I said and placed my hand on my face. Foxy and Toy Bonnie laughed. I looked up at them. "What's so funny?"

"You. Come on Marionette she isn't a little kid anymore. You don't have to be by her side 24/7" Toy Bonnie explained to me.

"I have to be there to protect her-"

"Maybe it's not just because you want to protect her...maybe it's because you don't want her to leave you." Toy Bonnie cut me off. He crossed his arms and glared at me. "Is that true?" Foxy asked and crossed his arms as well.

Me...wanting to have Maddie with me all the time? Yeah, I mean, it's nice to have her around...to make me happy. To make me feel important. To make me feel...wanted...

"Of course that's not true. I like her company but I don't mind if she leaves every now and then." I said nervously.

Toy Bonnie put his hand close to his mouth, Foxy knelt down. "He's in denial" I heard Toy Bonnie whisper.

"Madeline means more to him than he thinks." Foxy whispered back. Both of them chuckled. I rolled my eyes.

"I can hear both of you and no I am not!"

That made the two burst into laughter.

Madeline's POV

I walked to in the dining area, checking to see if Toy Freddy was there along the way, he wasn't, but Toy Chica was. This time Chica was with her, so she wasn't sitting there alone and bored. Their eyes followed me as I continued my way to the office. Toy Chica nudged Chica's shoulder, signaling her to talk.

"Uh...um" Chica stuttered. I payed no attention to her. I said I wanted to build relationships with them. But I'll give them some time to think about what they're going to say. I understand it won't be easy. How could you apologize for trying to kill somebody? You don't just go up to someone and say, hey sorry I tried to kill you but we're cool now, right?

I entered the office. Pausing when I saw Toy Freddy sitting there, his back to me. I swallowed. Did he know I was there? I took a step closer to the bear, knowing he could jump out at me at any moment. I can't get the screwdriver without getting to the desk which is impossible since he's there. I cleared my throat, hopping to get his attention.

His head turned to me quickly, so quick that it looked like his endoskeleton could snap. He observed me and nodded. "I see you're back. I'd like an explanation."

An explanation? For what? And he just can't demand for me to tell him. But, I'm not getting on his bad side. I've already made him lose his patience.
"An explanation to why I'm back?"

"No, and explanation to where Marionette was. He wasn't there when I went into Prize Corner."

"Well, I brought him to my home so I could repair him. You know, after you cut him...with a knife."

Toy Freddy chuckled. "I did do that, didn't I?" He sounded proud of himself, which disgusted me. Was causing pain to others the thing that made him happy? Oh well. I won't be hurting myself to make him be nice to me.

"Yeah, you did. Now uh I need a screwdriver. Can ya get one for me?"

Toy Freddy reached out and pulled open a drawer on the desk. He now held a green screwdriver in his hand. The bear turned it a bit, examining the useful tool. "Planning to take me apart?"

He tossed it over to me. I caught it with my right hand. Then shrugged my shoulders. "Not yet." Was all I said before walking off.

I returned to Prize Corner. Foxy and Toy Bonnie seemed to slightly laugh. It's amazing to see the two who wanted to kill me, Toy Bonnie tried to the night I did parkour, actually laugh and have a good time.

"Hey Maddie, Marionette's got somethin' to tell you" Toy Bonnie said in a sing song voice. Marionette's turned to the bunny and showed his claws. "Shut your metal mouth." He mumbled.

I smiled and motioned Foxy my way. He sat down on the black and white tile floor, mainly because he was tall and I couldn't reach him if he was standing. "Be nice Marionette." I teased.

"Ha! She told you!" Toy Bonnie said and pointed at Marionette. I shook my head while twisting the bolt on Foxy's jaw.

"You behave now too, Toy Bonnie." I said like a mother trying to control her children.

I took a few steps back and examined my work. Foxy's jaw was now in its rightful place. I'm pretty handy if I do say so myself. "How's that?" I asked.

"It feels great, lass! Thank ye." Foxy said happily.

Toy Bonnie started jumping up and down and raised his hand. "Oh! Oh! Can you fix this scratch on my back?" Toy Bonnie questioned excitedly.

"She isn't a mechanic." Marionette said.

"The puppet's right. I don't know if I could fix things like that."

"Oh, so now I'm know as The Puppet. Nice, real nice."

I laughed and walked over to Marionette. He smiled at me, which caused me to blush. Damn! Why does he have to be so...adorable?

"Maybe I can start calling you somethin' else."

"Like?"

"Maybe..." I trailed off. To be honest, I don't really know. I've only called him Marionette. Surely I can come up with a nick name for him. Oh well, I'll put that on my bucket list.

"I'll think about it." I told him. Toy Bonnie ran up to me. "How 'bout No Strings?" He asked and gave me a goofy grin. I shoved the rabbit and laughed. "That's stupid!"

"Ye can call me captain Foxy!" Foxy stated boldly and struck a pose.

"Aye, Aye captain!" I shouted and saluted him. Everyone started to laugh. Maybe it was working. We were all starting to bond with one another.

It may not be much, but it's a start.
