Madeline's POV
"Hey Maddie, you all right over there?" Skylar said, snapping me out of my day dream. I found myself standing by my window, looking at a few birds in a nest up in a high tree. I sighed before I turned around. Marionette and Skylar were both looking at me confusingly. I smiled at them and nodded. "Yep. I'm good." I assured them, but really, I wasn't happy, more like disappointed. Why? To be honest, I wanted my day dream to be reality. I have a strange feeling for Marionette but I know it would never work out, no matter how much I think about it. He's a puppet and I'm a human being. And someone could never actually love something like a puppet, it would be just too...awkward.
And Marionette doesn't have feelings for me in that kind of way. We're friends. That's how it was when I was young, that's how it's going to stay. Wether I like it or not. Skylar turned back to Marionette and smiled. "So do you guys have a plan for when both of you go back to Freddy's Monday night?"
Marionette shrugged. "Not at the moment, but I'm sure we'll be fine. Toy Freddy would have to be pretty dumb to try to pull any tricks."
I tossed my day dream aside and sat close to Skylar. "But does he still want me dead?" I asked, joining into the conversation. Marionette gazed at his claws and sighed then said, "I think so. But I don't think he'll try to do anything about it...at least...for some time."
Well that good news. I may not be dead on Monday, but I could be later on, that doesn't terrify me one bit! (Note the sarcasm). "I wouldn't worry. You have Marionette and the other three on your side. Maybe somebody will change their mind and come over to your side" Skylar told me, which made me have a boost of confidence...but that confidence went away when Marionette said, "who would leave Toy Freddy's side though? If nobody's left yet they obviously won't now."
Now that's also true, but Toy Bonnie and Balloon Boy went after me when I ran to Prize Corner, yet they were on our side when we had that fight. But someone had to have told Toy Bonnie it was me. Leading to the fact that Toy Bonnie trusted us and Toy Freddy didn't. At least the bear isn't gullible I'll give him that.
"And another thing that really frustrates me is that he broke your music box. The thing that meant a lot to you." Marionette said getting angry, but started to calm down and relax. I could see why he was so mad and I'm not blaming him. I too, have hatred for Toy Freddy...yet...I'm not ready to stand up to him face to face. I've hit him with a hammer...but that's as far as I'm going with that situation.
"Hey, maybe we can fix it." Skylar said cheerfully and clasped her hands together, "all I need is some super glue and BAM, it's fixed!". Marionette made a low chuckle, as did I, but his didn't last as long as mine. "That would be wonderful if you could, but the pieces are back at Freddy's"
"I'll go with you guys!"
"No!" Marionette snapped quickly, "We can't have another mortal there. Toy Freddy already wants her" Marionette pointed to me, "dead. We can't have someone else getting injured over a music box."
"Hey I'm not afraid of a metal bear! What's he gonna do? Sing me a song till my ears bleed?". Skylar snickered then bursts with laughter. I smiled and rolled my eyes, "yeah. Keep laughing until they shove you in a suit filled with wires."
"Oh, I'm so scared! Please don't stuff in a suit! I don't want to be a *giggle* dressed as a mascot like people do in amusement parks."
"Yeah right you'd be the first one out the door!"
Skylar put her hand, which was made into a fist, in the air. As if she was fist bumping the ceiling. "They can give me life or they can give me death!" She shouted. "And they can give me a break" I mumbled.
Skylar stopped laughing and looked up at me, "you had a break when you were day dreaming in the window. What were you thinkin' about anyway?"
I felt my cheeks go warm and my heart felt like it was beating a thousand times per second. I didn't speak. I didn't know what to say. Like in my day dream, Skylar walked off and called Marionette a monster. What would she do when she found out I was in LOVE with him? I took a deep breath in. And out. Then I cleared my throat, "I was thinking about the time in your life when you couldn't speak. What a glorious time it probably was."
Sky got up and play punched me in my shoulder. "And I can imagine the time you weren't always crackin' jokes."
A whistle sound came from no where. Skylar reached in her pocket and pulled out her phone. "I gotta go but I'll see you Monday morning."
"I'm sure you will." I said and watched the girl leave my room. I turned to Marionette and smiled then grabbed my door knob and slammed the door closed. "And that is what I deal with in my everyday life."
"Well I can see that you had support for those six years, unlike me who had none."
My heart sunk and I felt a lump forming in my throat. I never realized that Marionette had no one to talk to. Even if he did, I wouldn't call them the type to give the support. I've see what they do. The go from room to room trying to sneak into an office. They don't have time for a talk. And if they did have a chat, they probably weren't all that friendly. I mean, the chats could have possibly been orders, and commands, and demands. Maybe this is what Marionette needed, an actually conversation that wasn't about bossing people around.
And maybe...just maybe. If I try my hardest...I can have Marionette giving presents to children again. It could take some time but in the end it'll all be worth it. He wouldn't have to feel alone in the day! Then maybe that could brighten up Freddy's and the others could change their ways.
But I'll have to start out small. I'll have to make bonds with the older models and newer models. I even have to make a friend connection with Toy Freddy which seems highly impossible.
A/N: quick question, anyone mad 'cause the ship didn't sail? Sorry if I ruined anyone's hopes.
