Marionette's POV

Here we are, after not seeing each other for six years, it's all come down to this, me and Madeline hugging it out. Her cries were getting calmer and softer, and I stayed there doing nothing. Even if I could I wouldn't be crying. Sometimes I think I've turned it somebody who doesn't have the slightest urge to shed a tear.

"WHERE DID SHE GO?" We heard Toy Freddy yell. Madeline and I stopped our hug and looked down the hallway.

"She went into Prize Corner sir. We haven't seen her since" Toy Bonnie answered

Toy Freddy let out a loud sigh of understanding. "Very well, let Marionette deal with her. It was his job to kill her last night anyway"

I looked over at Madeline who was still watching down the hall for any signs of animatronics roaming about. My eyes went down to her hand that was shaking a bit. How did she get down here without being captured?

I hesitantly took a hold of Madeline's hand. She jumped and turned to face me. I nudged my head over to my box.
"Come on, let's go in my box so they don't come in here and find you"

She made her hand into a fist and put it on her chest, then nodded. I lead her over to my box. Madeline didn't even dare to look away from the hallway. She must still scared to death, but that's why I'm here. I flipped the box's lid up with my arm, since Pop Goes The Weasel was still playing on an endless loop. Madeline finally turned to me, terror on her face, like in my nightmare I had long ago.

"Are you sure they won't come after us?" She asked

I nodded, I wanted to be honest with here, I wasn't going to tell a single lie. Nothing but the truth. "Mangle might come in here, then if she tells them you're not here, they could come inside. But that's why we need to get into my box"

"Wait, Mangle can walk around too? And you want to hide here? Isn't there a better solu-"

"Madeline, do you trust me?" I asked, looking at her straight in the eyes. If she trusts me, I'll trust her. Madeline nodded and lifted her right leg and stepped her foot into the box. Then she did it again and sat down. I went inside the box as well and shut the lid, leaving only me and Madeline in a slightly dark space. I noticed she was holding on to the tablet, looking at the show stage. I tapped my hand on camera 11 and held down the wind button. Madeline glanced at me and raised an eyebrow.

"Why did you do that? I thought you never liked being locked up"

I shrugged my shoulder and looked at the wall. "I don't want them coming in here and opening the box. The last thing I need is for you to be dead"

"So... you're saying you still...care?" She asked hoping for an answer. I looked over to her and nodded. "I thought about you everyday"

Madeline twiddled her thumbs and looked down at them. "So did I"

"Maddie?" I asked

She looked up and starred at me. "Yeah". I know what I was about to say was going to hurt her, but I need to know.

"Why did you leave me for six years?"

Madeline sat in silence. She took a deep breath. "I left you because I thought you'd never want to see me again, I thought you were mad at me because I made you feel useless, I wanted to come back, but I couldn't face you. I didn't have enough courage to actually come back"

So, she thought I hated her! I thought she hated me! "You know I would never hate you...if there was anyone to hate it would be me, like in my nightmare."

Madeline raised an eyebrow, "what nightmare?"

"Well, it started as any normal day, it was sunny and bright. Then you came out of no where and told me to follow you to the party room. When I got there, everything was perfect. The older models looked bran new and so did Mangle. But, the sky darkened and Mr. Freddy came in along with four guards. He made everything worse."
