Drivers License

As Jin drove down the familiar street, that is currently dark and empty he shed a few tears. He turned on the radio and a song started to play.

Everything she was singing, explained exactly how he was feeling at the moment. He was heartbroken and devastated.

The boy he loved, and who swore also loved him left him. He played with his heart and as soon as the next pretty face came around, he was gone.

But today I drove through the suburbs.
Crying cause you weren't around.

All sorts of thoughts invaded his mind.
What did he do wrong?
Didn't he love him enough?
He was his whole world, and now he's just gone.

And you're probably with that blonde girl.
Who always made me doubt.
She's so much older than me.
She's everything I'm insecure about.
Yeah, today I drove through the suburbs.
Cause how could I ever love someone else?

He can't... he won't ever feel that way about anyone again.
Why would he ever risk his heart like that again?

Was it cause he was too young and scared to go all the way?
And he grew tired of waiting for him.

He needed someone with more experience and who will actually give it up.

And I know we weren't perfect but I've never felt this way for no one. And I just can't imagine how you could be ok, now that I'm gone. Cause you said forever, now I drive alone past your street.

Jin cried out in agony. His poor teenage heart lay shattered at the bottom of his feet. Stupid fucking heart! Why did you fall so easily? Why did you fall for his lies?

He drives back around the same street just as he has been all night. Hoping it will give him some closure.

Red lights, stop signs.
I still see your face in the white cars, front yards.
Can't drive past the places we used to go.
Cause I still fuckin' love you babe.

Sidewalks we crossed.
I still hear your voice in the traffic, we're laughing.
Over all the noise.
God, I'm so blue, know we're through.
But I still fuckin' love you babe.

Jin screams out one last time and finally exits out of the neighborhood. He feels so much better now. Sort of.

He stops to put gas in his car and as he leans against his car, he sees a motorcycle pull up. The guy takes off his helmet and looks at Jin.

Jin stops breathing as the stranger ogles him. He uses his credit card to start the pump.

Jin looks away from him for a few seconds and looks at his own gas pump. When he is done, he replaces the handle back in its place. And puts the gas cap back on.

When he turns around to go around to the drivers side. The guy in the motorcycle is standing right in front of him.

"Hey, what's your name gorgeous?" He asked Jin.

Jin saw him close up and got lost in his gaze. So the guy had to wave his hand in front of his face.

"Hey, I know I'm good looking too. But I'd like to know your name so I can take you out."

Jin snapped out of it and asked him, "What?"

The guy chuckled deeply and asked, "I asked for your name.
So I could take you out sometime. You look like you've been sad lately. And someone as gorgeous as you shouldn't cry over someone who doesn't know a good thing when he has it."

Jin started blushing and replies, "I'm Jin."

The stranger smiles a wide, boxy smile and shakes his hand.

"Well Jin, let's start by exchanging numbers. And pretty soon you will forget you ever shed a tear over some asshole."

Jin nodded and passed his phone over to him. Once the stranger entered his number, he handed it back to him and said, "My name is Kim Taehyung. And I will be the last man you ever love."

Jin smiled at the way his heart did backflips. Maybe there is life after such a heartbreaking experience.

A/N: 😄 Just a quick really short story to try to get me in the writing mood. This song is playing everywhere lately. Yikes. I hope y'all like it. Y'all can picture almost anyone as the guy who broke his heart. (Ahem JK) It's up to you. But Taehyung will mend his heart.
