(This is meant to be just a cute, little love story. No big drama or heartbreak. Maybe a little long though. Also, I know there have been real doctors who have read my books, so please remember that I never claimed to have any real medical knowledge about anything I write. I only know what I see on TV. ☺️ Please have mercy on my dumb little brain as you read this.) **********************
"Dr. Kim, we just got a call that they're bringing in several fire victims. And one of them is a firefighter. His captain asked that you do whatever it takes to save him."
The nurse is running beside Dr. Kim Seokjin as he rushes towards the ER. She fills him in on the amount of victims and he calls for backup. Which includes his older brother Dr. Kim Namjoon and his oldest friend Jeon Jungkook.
They arrive just as the first ambulance brings in the first of the victims. Jungkook rushes to an OR with him just as the next ambulance arrives.
Namjoon takes her and runs along the gurney as it's being rushed to another OR.
The next one is the firefighter and Dr. Jin chooses to handle him personally. As soon as he is brought in, he sees a paramedic running alongside squeezing a portable ventilator. So Jin takes it from him and jumps on top of the firefighter as they are pushed into the next OR.
He checks his breathing and realizes it's very shallow. So he immediately gets to work on him once he's in his element.
He knows he's inhaled alot of smoke and his face is black from smoot. Jin works for two hours treating him, and when he's finally stable enough he has him moved to his own room. He will have to use a ventilator for a while until his lungs are truly cleared out of smoke.
Seeing him looking with some color again instead of ashen, he feels relieved and hopes he's out of the woods.
He then goes about checking on the other victims and learns that one of them has passed away. He was an elderly gentleman and already had health issues to begin with. The fire was just too much for his weak heart and it gave out on him. He is still saddened to lose a life.
As he walked from one bed to another, checking on the victims. He suddenly sees a young man rushing around, searching all the beds looking worried.

Namjoon sees him and asks him, "May I help you?"
"Oh yes! I am looking for my partner. I heard he was brought in here along with the others." He then produces an ID of the person he's looking for.
