The Friendly Skies

Kim Seokjin walks down the airport terminal pulling his luggage behind him. He smiles at several people that he passes along the way.

He is an airline pilot and he's scheduled for another flight overseas and will be gone for a couple of days. He doesn't mind the long hours or the fact that he'll come home to an empty house.

He's used to it and likes that he can meet new people everywhere he goes.

As he gets settled into his usual seat in the cockpit he runs through the usual checklist as one of the stewardess's walks in and hands him a cup of coffee.

"Here you go Mr. Kim." She says shyly.

He takes it from her and smiles.

Then says, "Please, call me Jin. I don't mind. Especially since we'll be flying together on a regular basis."

She blushes and replies, "O-ok. Thank you Mr.. I mean Jin."

"By the way, I heard that we had a last minute change in my co-pilot for this flight. Do you happen to know who will be flying with me?"

She looks through her clipboard and when she finds the change, she tells him, "I believe it's a new pilot. I heard they hired around 5 new pilots when they added more flights to the airline. It says his name is Kim Taehyung. Do you know him?"

Jin takes a quick drink of his coffee before responding.
"No, the name doesn't ring a bell. But I guess we'll know soon enough."

As soon as he finished speaking, they hear a light tapping at the door before someone opens it and walks in.

They are both stunned to see the gorgeous newcomer. He looks at both of them and smirks when he sees they're gawking at him.

"Hello, my name is Kim Taehyung. I'll be the temporary co-pilot for this flight."

Jin had an unusual reaction to his deep, sexy voice and had to blink several times before he snapped out of it.

The stewardess smiled brightly at him and shook his hand.

"It's good to meet you sir. I am Seo-young and this is the pilot Kim Seokjin."

Taehyung turns to look at Jin and eyes him up and down. Licking his lips as he delights in his flushed face.

He walks over to him and takes his hand and says, "It's so good to finally meet you Seokjin. I have heard great things about you."

Jin looks confused and asked, "About me?"

"Oh yes, your reputation precedes you." He replies with a huge grin.

"I have a reputation? What do they say about me?"

Tae starts to laugh as he sits on his seat, then says, "It's nothing bad, so don't worry. They just said you're the airlines unofficial supermodel because of your good looks."

Jin laughs as if he is joking around, and turns to look at Seo-young and she just nods in agreement with Tae.

"It's true. I thought you knew." She tells him.

Jin frowns and says, "Y'all are funny. Let's just get on with our jobs, shall we?"

She giggles and says, "Oh course. Would you like me to bring you something to drink Mr. Kim?"

Tae still had his eyes on Jin and only turned away when she called him.

"Oh, um sure. I'd like a cup of tea please. I'm not a big fan of coffee."
