Choose Me Pt. 2

Taehyung and his cousin Namjoon had discussed strategies for him to try to win back the man he loves. But every single one seemed too far fetched and he felt down.

He then feels maybe he's too late and deserves to lose him after hurting him so. Especially when he remembers how sad he looked the night he left.

"Don't lose hope yet Taehyung-ah. He said he loves you right? I don't think he'll get over it just like that. You need to talk to him and have a long overdue serious talk.

Tell him that you were stupid and selfish. And you didn't realize how much he meant to you until he was gone.

All you can do is hope for a good outcome and pray he's in a forgiving mood."

That evening when Tae drove home, he decided to drive past Jin's house and saw another car in his driveway. He had never seen it before and knew it wasn't Jimin's or Hobi's car. And for the first time, he felt a sense of panic.

What if he's already too late? How stupid was he to think that he'd wait around for whenever he's ready.

He continues driving until he gets home. He sits quietly at the kitchen table while he sips on sum wine. He pulls out his phone and goes through his photo gallery. He looks through the various pictures he has of Jin.

He still remembers the first time he saw him. He was with Jimin and Hobi at a BBQ chicken restaurant. And Jin was smiling wide as he cooked their meat and laughed along with his friends.

Tae was with a date at the time, but he couldn't take his eyes off of Jin. There was just something about him that gave him a different feeling than what he did with his dates.

He couldn't meet him that night because of his date. Who argued with him afterwards because he noticed how Tae kept looking at someone else during their date.

He happened to bump into him at an outdoor vegetable vendor. Tae was there looking for seaweed and red beans for his mother. And Jin was buying cabbage for his kimchi.

Tae introduced himself to him and immediately asked him out for dinner. Jin happily accepted and thought he had met the man he would marry and live happily ever after with.

But that afternoon when Tae arrived at home. He found one of his oldest and best friends waiting for him outside his door. He was so polluted and reeked of alcohol.

Tae led him inside and his friend told him of the devastating heartbreak he had just endured.

"He left me Taehyung-ah.. After four years together, just like that!" He tries to snap his fingers but he's too drunk to.

He cried for hours and told Tae about how he fell for a pretty face. Only to get dumped after everything they've been through.

"Don't ever fall in love Tae.. it's not worth it. They are all sweet and perfect at first. But then you slowly start to see their real personality after a while.

I should have just used him for sex. So he could keep me satisfied whenever I needed him."

He then falls onto Tae's shoulder and says, "He was really good in bed and could really suck cock." He then cries out loud.

"Oh God! Now he's gone.."

As Tae listens to him, he came to realize that he doesn't want that to happen to him. He will never give anyone that sort of power over his heart.

And from that day on, he changed his point of view on relationships. Starting with his date with Jin.

He was his usual charming self throughout the date. And when he felt he was getting a little too invested in what Jin was saying. He plainly told him that he was not interested in a serious relationship with him or anyone else.
