Mirae's POV
I was now at the company. We still had some time before going for a schedule. So I was just roaming around when I ran into Seonghwa.
"Hi, Mirae-ssi," he said, smiling.
"Hello, Seonghwa-ssi." I smiled back. "You don't have any schedules now?"
"I just came back from one."
"Ah, I see."
"Does San have any schedules now?"
"Yeah, we'll leave in twenty minutes." Then something struck my mind.
—Flashback—
"Was it because of that?" Seonghwa-ssi said.
I looked back and forth at them in confusion. San just sighed and slightly nodded.
—End of flashback—
"Ah! Can I ask you something?" I said.
"Yeah, sure."
"Do you know the reason why San fainted at that photoshoot?
He quickly frowned on hearing that. "That..."
"You know it, right?"
"I shouldn't tell you this though..." He looked around. "Come with me." He then took me to his vocal practice room.
We sat on the chairs before he continued. "But don't tell him that I told you about it."
I nodded. He sighed before speaking. "...Two years ago, his mother died in an accident. It wasn't really an accident, San says it was intentional."
"What?" I gasped. "Someone intentionally killed his mom?..."
"Hm... On that day, a party was organised by Lee Hyunwoo's dad. San and Hyunwoo used to be very good friends since their trainee days. But then something happened that made them grow apart. Since then they don't go along well with each other." I was quietly listening to him so he continued.
"And from what I've heard from San, Lee Hyunwoo wanted to kill San that day but he instead killed San's mom... San was standing under a chandelier but his mom came at the right time and saved him. But as a result of it, the chandelier fell on San's mom and she..." I gasped, covering my mouth.
That's why San that day...
"San knew it very well that Lee Hyunwoo was behind it but couldn't do anything as he didn't have any proof about it."
"Isn't it unfair? Lee Hyunwoo killed someone. He shouldn't be let free like that."
"I know... But we can't do anything. And no one would believe us without any evidence." He sighed.
A murderer shouldn't be let out freely. Something needs to be done...

I was at the company's parking lot, waiting for San. I was looking at my phone when I heard someone's voice.
"Excuse me."
I turned back to see a guy dressed in the same clothes as me; the bodyguard uniform, standing there.
"Yes?" And he looked somewhat familiar.
His face lighted up quickly. "Uh? We met again."
"Uh?"
—Flashback—
I went to the convenient store to buy me a mint chocolate ice cream for me. I was standing in the ice cream section when I saw someone yelling.
"Were you dreaming or what? Can't you focus on your work?!" a man yelled at the worker. I went near them to see what was going on.
"I won't tolerate it... Don't you know how to treat our customers?" that man said.
"But that customer was being rude to me sir," the worker replied.
"So what?... They're our precious customers. You can't do that..."
"Excuse me," I said, turning all their attention towards me.
I couldn't stand it anymore cause I especially know how some of the customers behave with the workers.
"He's saying the customer was rude to him, then why are you scolding the innocent worker?" I said.
"Innocent?... Who are you to butt in between us?" the man said.
"Ahjussi, watch what you say. I'll call the cops if you keep harrassing your worker like this."
"Harassing?... You seriously!..."
He was about to slap me but I grabbed his hand and twisted it behind his back. He groaned in pain.
"You want to go straight to the jail? The camera there is recording everything... So think about it carefully." I let go of his hand and he couldn't do anything else after that.
"Ahjussi, apologize to him," I said, gesturing to the worker who was standing beside me. He gave me a glare before apologizing to the worker.
"If he does that again, call the cops right away," I said to the worker, handing him the money of my ice cream.
—End of flashback—
"So that's you," I said, recalling our first meet.
"Yeah."
"But why are you here and in this uniform?..."
"Ah, I quit my job there and joined here as a bodyguard."
"Ah, I see."
"I didn't know you also work here."
"I too joined here recently."
"It's nice to meet you again. I wanted to thank you for that day."
"Ah, don't mention it."
"But still I want to treat you something delicious. Are you free today?"
"Well... I'll let you know about it."
"Okay then..." He offered his phone to me. "Give me your number so that I can contact you."
I typed my number before giving his phone back to him. "Here."
"Ah right! I forgot to ask your name."
"It's Kang Mirae."
"I'm Bong Jaehyun. Nice to meet you again." I smiled and shook hands with him.
Just then we heard someone clearing his throat. I turned to see San standing there along with Jihoon-ssi.
