Chapter 20 : Slept With Him

Mirae's POV

I was sleeping peacefully when I heard a scream from San's room. I quickly got up from the bed and rushed to his room.

I opened his door and saw him sitting on his bed, breathing heavily. "San-ah!..." I quickly went and sat beside him.

"San-ah, are you alright?" I put a hand on his shoulder. He then suddenly wrapped his arms around me.

Maybe he had a nightmare...

I hugged him back and patted his back. "I'm here. It's okay now." He hugged me tightly as if he didn't want to let go of me.

I too didn't question him and stayed like that till he felt a little better. I pulled back after a while.

"Did you have a nightmare?" I asked.
He just nodded in response. "It's okay... Don't worry."

I made him lay back on his bed and pulled the blanket over him. "Wait a minute..."

San's POV

"Wait a minute..." Mirae said and ran out of the room.

Soon she came back with a book in her hand. She then sat at the corner of the bed, leaning back on the headboard.

"What are you doing?" I asked in confusion.

"Ah, I'll stay here and read this till you go to sleep." She looked back at her book, flipping the pages.

"How do you know when will I go to sleep?"

"You'll fall asleep eventually." I stared at the ceiling blankly, deep in thoughts. "Ah right!" I looked at her. "Where's your plushie?"

"You mean Shiber?"

She nodded. "Where is it?"

"Ah... I kept it somewhere here..." I sat up and looked around to find it. She too did the same.

"Found it." She went to the place and brought Shiber to me. "Hold it." I took it and looked back at her. "You weren't holding it that's why you couldn't sleep." She sat back on her spot.

"How did you know I can't sleep without holding anything?"

"Back at the hotel, I saw you carrying that plushie, I mean Shiber. And I heard it from Jihoon-ssi too."

I weakly smiled. "Thanks, Mirae-ah."

"No problem... Now go back to sleep."

I laid back on the bed, hugging Shiber. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep.

I suddenly woke up again, not because of another nightmare. I turned to me left and saw Mirae already asleep, still leaning back on the headboard.

I sat up and kept her book on the side table before making her lay downon the bed carefully, trying my best to not wake her up. And at last, I covered her with the blanket.

I laid back beside her and admired her face for a while. She looked so cute while sleeping. I was still looking at her when she suddenly turned towards me and put one of her arm over my waist.

My heart skipped a beat on seeing her that close to me. I tried to remove her hand from my waist but she instead held me tightly, snuggling closer to me.

I gave up and stayed like that. I too wrapped my arm around her and didn't realise when I fell asleep.

Mirae's POV

When I woke up the next morning, the first thing I saw was the time. It was almost six o'clock. I looked around and realised that I was still in San's room.

Then I felt an arm loosely wrapped around my waist. I turned back and realised that it was San's. He used one of his arm to give me an arm pillow and the other one to wrap around my waist.

My heart started racing like crazy on seeing him that close. He was still asleep so I took some time to admire his face.

He looks so handsome even from this close.

My hand subconsciously went to caress his cheeks which felt so soft. I was still lost in thoughts when he suddenly grabbed my hand.

He then slowly opened his eyes. "What are you doing?" he said in his morning voice.

"U-Uh?... You're awake?... I-I'll go get freshened up." I quickly pushed myself away from him and ran out of his room.

I went inside my room and closed the door, leaning back on it. I tried to calm my heart down which felt as if it was going to explode right then.

"What was I doing?... Ah, I must be crazy!" I grabbed my hair.

I tried to shook off the thoughts and rushed to the bathroom.
