Mirae's POV
"What's all this?!" Hyunwoo said, looking all mad.
I folded my arms, tilting my head. "Oh, I'm sorry. Did I make you anxious?"
(A/N : Janinhago areumdawo Love killa, love killa... I couldn't stop myself.)
"You little!"
"You must be very shocked, right Hyunwoo-yah?" San came and stood beside me, putting an arm around my shoulders. "Tsk, tsk... Your teammate betrayed you."
"I'LL KILL YOU ALL!" Hyunwoo yelled.
"Try it if you want," I said.
He then suddenly snatched the gun from my hands and aimed it at me.
"Tell your people to put down their weapons or else I'll kill you."
"You seriously..." I laughed a bit. "There aren't any bullets in that gun."
"Don't try to fool me." He pulled the trigger but nothing came out of it. He was left in shock again.
"You should thank Jaehyun for it. You only ordered him to bring the gun, didn't you?"
"You traitor!" He looked at Jaehyun and threw the gun on the floor. "I'll make sure to get rid of you later."
"Let the time decide who will get rid of whom," Jaehyun said.
"It's enough, Lee Hyunwoo..." I said. "Turn yourself in before we call the cops."
He stared at us for a while before breaking into a fit of laughter. Me and San exchanged glances before looking back at him while he kept laughing frantically.
"You may think I have lost," Hyunwoo said. "...But I'm not that easy, you know."
Then he took out some kind of button and pressed it. Loud noises of alarm started to echo in the whole room.
"You won't be able to escape from here alive."
Just then a gang of his men invaded the room and soon everyone got involved into a fight.
A man came at me and tried to punch me in the face but I was quick enough to dodge it. I kicked up between his legs and his game was over. He fell on the floor, groaning in pain.
I turned back to look at San. He too was busy fighting with one. And with one high kick, he was able to knock him down. I was curious if he learnt taekwondo or not but let it slide for the time being.
"San-ah..." He looked at me. "I've something to tell you." He quickly nodded. "Lee Hyunwoo... He was the one who killed my dad too."
"What?!"
"Yes."
"Don't worry. I'll make him pay for his sins... Watch out!" He pulled me to his side and kicked the one who was behind me.
"Khumawo."
"No problem... But where did Lee Hyunwoo go?"
I looked around the room but couldn't find him. He succeeded to escape while we were busy fighting.
"We can't let him run away. We need to catch him."
I was about to walk towards the door when another troop of guards came flooding into the room.
And soon everyone got involved in a gun fight. Me and San quickly hid behind the furnitures.
"Ah, what do I do?!..." I said, panicking.
"We need to escape from here first," Jaehyun said after knocking one of them down. "They are more in number."
"But what about Jiwoo unnie and the others? We can't leave them like that."
"If we want to catch Lee Hyunwoo, we need to get out of here first," San said.
"We're small in number. We need to use our brain instead of strength. We need to catch Lee Hyunwoo before it's too late," Jaehyun said.
I felt bad for leaving them like that but I didn't have any other option. If we don't catch Lee Hyunwoo today, then all our efforts will go down in vain; San's, Jaehyun's, all of us.
"Mirae, gaja!" San said, grabbing my hand.
I glanced at our squad for the last time before sneaking out of the room from the back door with San and Jaehyun.
We were successful to escape from that room but suddenly a trio of guards chased after us. We kept running while changing the routes. Jaehyun was well acquainted with the surroundings so he guided us.
We finally took a left turn and hid behind the wall. I was breathing heavily, leaning back on the wall as I was very tired of running.
"They're somewhere here." We heard the men say. "Look around the area carefully."
"What should we do now?" I whispered.
"Ah, right! Kim Nari is also here," Jaehyun said.
"Kim Nari?" San said.
Jaehyun nodded. "Lee Hyunwoo has locked her in a room because she was going to report him to the cops."
"She too was on his side?... This is ridiculous!" San huffed.
"We need to get her out too," I said.
"What? You want to help her even when she hates you so much."
"She too is a victim of Lee Hyunwoo."
"Mirae-ah..."
"I know, you hate her so much now but we shouldn't leave her here. We need to save her too."
San sighed after a while. "... Okay."
"Okay... Jaehyun, you know where she is?"
Jaehyun nodded in response. "It's that way..." He pointed to that direction. "But those guards are there."
"How should we sneak away then?..."
"I'll take care of them," San suddenly said, making us look at him. "I'll take them to the opposite direction."
"They're three and you're just by yourself. I can't let you go alone."
He put his hand on my shoulder. "Believe in me. I can handle them."
"But–"
"Don't worry. I'll be okay."
To be continued...
