Being a bodyguard seems to be a very responsible and a boring job, isn't it? And so thinks Mirae. But things get complicated for her when she becomes the bodyguard of, the famous actor and singer, Choi San and starts to fall for him.

I gave her an assuring smile and caressed her head before walking towards the front.
"Hey there! Looking for someone?"
The three men turned towards me when they heard me shouting. And as planned, they chased after me as I ran in the opposite direction.
I kept changing routes so that they'll get confused and I would easily escape away from them. But luck wasn't with me for a long time.
"Shit!" I mumbled, looking at the wall in front of me. It was a dead end. "Shit!..."
"Caught you!"
I heard someone say so I turned back just to see the three men coming towards me.
"How will you escape now?" one of them said.
"That's for you to think," I said.
They were going to come at me when I ran and jumped over some wooden boxes before kicking one of them down.
The other one put me in a head-lock so I tripped him over my back, making him land on the ground. And soon I knocked the third one down too.
I breathed out heavily on seeing them groan in pain while lying on the ground. I was about to walk away when I saw Lee Hyunwoo coming in my direction.

Mirae's POV
I peeped behind the wall and saw the men chasing after San who took them to the opposite direction.
"Mirae, let's go," Jaehyun said.
"Yeah." I glanced back in San's direction before running away from there.
After running some distance further, we stopped in front of a room.
"She's here." He pointed to the door.
Then my gaze landed on the lock. "But it's locked."
"I have the key." He fished out a bunch of keys from his pocket. "I was one of the men who were told to lock her here."
He then quickly unlocked the door before slamming it open. I ran into the room and looked around for Nari. There I saw her sobbing at one corner with her hands being tied at her back.
"Kim Nari!"
I went to her and took off the cloth that was covering her mouth before untying her hands.
"Are you okay?... We need to get out of here quickly–" Before I could complete my sentence, she suddenly hugged me.
"I thought no one would come to save me," she said, still sobbing. "I was so scared."
"It's okay now. Don't cry." I patted her back for a while.
"Get her out fast," Jaehyun said. "I think some men are coming this way."
I helped Nari stand up and lead her out of the room. "Here..." I handed her the car keys. "My car is parked right there." I pointed to that direction. "Take it and escape. Hurry up!"
"Mianhae Mirae," she said. "You must hate me so much for trying to hurt you but still you're helping me... Thank you so much. I'll never forget it."
I gave her a smile. "You need to escape from here first. Go!" I gestured her to run away. "And be careful not to get caught."
She nodded to me before running away. I let out a sigh of relief and turned back to face Jaehyun.
"Let's get back to San," he said.
I nodded and was about to walk when my eyes widened on seeing a man coming towards Jaehyun with a knife in his hand.
"Jaehyun, behind you–"
Before I could say anything else, the man was able to make a cut on Jaehyun's left arm as he was turning back. I gasped, covering my mouth.

Jaehyun's POV
"Ahh!" I held my arm and stumbled back.
He was about to attack Mirae but I grabbed his wrist and kicked him in the stomach which made him lose the weapon. I tried to fight him but he instead grabbed my neck and pinned me to the wall. I tried to remove his hand as it was getting difficult for me to breathe.
Then my gaze landed on Mirae who was now panicking.
—Flashback—
"I have a request for you, Jaehyun." He then passed handed me a piece of paper. I was at the company, having some private talk with San.
"What is it?" I said and opened it just to realise that it was the same paper I kept in Mirae's blazer that day.
"I have thought a plan to catch Lee Hyunwoo. And I need your help in that... It's very risky so I want you to protect Mirae no matter what."
"Don't worry. I'll never let anyone to even touch her... I promise."
—End of flashback—
"Mirae, run away!" I said. "Go to San. Hurry!"
Just then I heard some footsteps coming towards us. I guessed it would be more of Hyunwoo's men.
"RUN AWAY!... HURRY UP!"
She hesitated a little but agreed and ran away from there. I tried my all to remove the hand from my neck and gave him a nice punch in the face.
I'll keep my promise no matter what.
