Mirae's POV
The next day, I was doing my breakfast as usual with a cup of ramyeon and reading the flyer which I brought with me last night.
"It won't be that difficult of a job, right?"
I went through the flyer and thought it would be a great idea to give a try as the most important thing which I needed now was 'money'.
"I should give it a try."
I dialed the number which was mentioned in the below. It took a few rings for someone to pick up the call.
"Hello, this is KQ Entertainment. How can I help you?"
"Ah, I wanted to know if you were still recruiting a bodyguard for one of your artist."
"Yes, we're still recruiting."
"That's a relief... Actually, I'm interested in that job. So what do I have to do for it?"
Then she explained what documents would I need to prepare for that interview.
"I got it. Thank you." I ended the call.
They called me for the interview this evening. So I had enough time to prepare the documents.

It was 5:30 pm now. I quickly put on some nice clothes and checked myself in the mirror.
"This looks good."
I did some light makeup as usual and left my hair open. I was almost ready to head out.
I checked all the things, which I needed to take, for the last time before heading out of the house.
I took a cab to go there. It was merely a fifteen minute ride from my house. After paying for the cab, I went near the large building which had 'KQ Entertainment' written at the front.
"So this is KQ Entertainment?... Seems like a big company."
I went inside and walked to the receptionist. "Excuse me, I'm Kang Mirae. I came her for an interview."
"Yes, follow me please."
I kept looking at the surroundings as I followed her. It did look like a nice place to work at. She then stopped in front of a room and gestured me to go in. I bowed to her before she left.
I took a deep breath before knocking at the door. "Come in." I heard someone say and went inside.
When I went in, I saw a man sitting at his table. I bowed to him before walking towards his desk.
"Please take a seat," he said.
I nervously took a seat opposite to him. "I'm Kang Mirae. I came here to give interview for the bodyguard post."
"Ah... So you are Kang Mirae?"
"Yes."
"I'm Lee Daeyeol, the head bodyguard. Nice to meet you." He held out his hand for me to shake.
"Nice to meet you too, sir." I shook hands with him and passed him the file of documents.
He put on his glasses and started to go through the documents. I nervously fiddled with my fingers while the room got filled with silence.
I've never been this nervous before.
"Have you done something like this before?" he asked.
"I haven't. It'd be my first time doing a job like this."
He nodded. "...You've been trained in taekwondo for five years?"
"Yes. My father was a taekwondo trainer, so he used to teach me too."
"But why did you give up on it? You would have easily made it to the national level by looking at your merits."
"Ah, that's... I really liked it but due to some incident, I had to give it up... I couldn't find any reason to continue it after that."
I decided to end my anwer in that as I didn't want to talk much about it. And in response, he nodded understandingly at my words and looked back at the documents.
After a while, he cleared his throat. "I've gone through all your documents and I think it's quite impressive... I'll hire you as a bodyguard for our company."
My face lighted up on hearing that. "Ah, really? Thank you so much!"
I've got this! Finally I'm going to live a decent life.
"You need to sign this contract and please go through all the rules before signing it." He passed me the contract.
"Yes, I got it."
"You'll be the personal bodyguard of Choi San-ssi. You must have heard about him, right?"
Choi San?...Who's he?
"You can start from tomorrow. You'll get to know about the schedules when you come to work tomorrow."
I took back my file and stood up. "Thank you so much." I bowed to him before walking out of the room.
I let out a sigh of relief as I walked through the hallway, smiling widely. "I can't believe that I got a nice job for myself! Should I eat something nice today? What should I eat?"
I was going to make a right turn when I bumped into someone. And as a result of it, the person I bumped into dropped his phone.
"I'm sorry," I quickly said and crouched down to pick his phone up.
"Don't you have eyes?" he said.
Why so rude?
I tried not to get mad and picked up his phone. But that voice seemed familiar.
Have I heard it somewhere before?
I stood up straight. "I'm sorry." I looked up to see his face and to my surprise it did look familiar.
I've seen those eyes somewhere... But where?
Then it struck my mind. I saw him yesterday at the convenience store, that 'mint choco' guy. I gasped, quickly covering my mouth.
Shit! It's him!
To be continued...
