The next day, I woke up early. I got washed up and walked out of my room. The hallway was dark so I went to turn the lights on which were at the end of the hallway.
As soon as I turned the lights on, I heard San's voice. "Good morning~"

"Ah, you scared me!" I flinched a little. He was sitting on the couch, without turning the lights on.
"What are you doing there?"
"I'm in the sentimental mood." I looked at him in disbelief. "I just woke up early today."
"You should say you couldn't sleep last night."
"How did you know–" He quickly covered his mouth.
"Tch!... You're a terrible liar, you know that?"
"But how did you guess that?"
"How could I not?... I stay with you almost all the time. Wouldn't have I learnt a lot about you in this time?"
"You're right though."
"Now, go get ready. We have to leave for the company."

I was now at the waiting room and all the eyes of the other staffs in that room, including me, were fixed on the TV. It was the time for the announcement of the winner of today's show.
San was one of the nominees. And don't you want to know who the other nominee was? It was Lee Hyunwoo. He too had a comeback recently and was also nominated along with San. I joined my hands together and prayed for San to win.
"The winner for today's show will be revealed soon..." Kang Yeosang-ssi said. "Let's watch it together."

I almost stopped breathing when I saw the scores getting tabulated on the screen. And in a few seconds the winner was revealed.
"Congratulations Choi San-ssi," Yeosang-ssi said, handing him the award.
All of us clapped and screamed in happiness when San's name was announced. I looked at him like a proud Mom as he gave his thank-you speech.
Soon he came back to the waiting room after doing his encore stage. As soon as his eyes met mine, I ran to him and gave him a tight hug, wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Congrats San!"
"Thanks." He hugged me back.
Then I realized in what position we were at that place. I cleared my throat and quickly pulled back, blushing.
I fixed my hair, looking elsewhere but San. Some of the staffs gave us some glances but didn't mind it.
"I-I need to go to the restroom."
I quickly excused myself and ran to the restroom. I stopped in front of a wash basin and looked at myself in the mirror.
"It was just a hug, then why am I blushing this hard?" I touched my cheeks which felt so warm.
"Get a hold on yourself, Mirae." I slapped both of my cheeks. "You're just a bodyguard of him. Don't get swayed away. He even has a girlfriend... Just a bodyguard, nothing else."
After a while, I walked out of the restroom and headed towards San's waiting room. I was still on my way back when someone suddenly pulled into some room.
I turned back to see Lee Hyunwoo standing there. I tried to get out of the room but he closed the door and stood in front of it, blocking my way.
"What are you doing?" I said, glaring at him.
"Don't misunderstand me. I'm not going to do anything to you."
"Then why did you drag me here?"
He took some steps towards me. "You're Choi San's bodyguard, right?... I have something to talk with you."
"Why would you have something to talk with me?"
He smirked. "I'll come straight to the point... It was you, isn't it?"
"What? I don't know what you're talking about..." I backed up as he kept coming closer to me till my back touched the wall.
"Don't try to play dumb in front of me. I saw it all... You overheard me that day, didn't you?"
Is he talking about the day at the party? I almost forgot about that...
"I think you're mistaken. I–"
"If you don't want to die unexpectedly then come here." He handed me some kind of business card of his.
"I'll give you two days. Think about it carefully... Or else you might regret it later." By saying that, he walked out of the room.
I let out a deep sigh of relief. "Did he just threaten me?..."
I looked down at his card in my hand and thought about it for some time.
What do I do?...

"Mirae!... Kang Mirae!..." San said, snapping me out of my thoughts.
"Huh?" I looked around and realized that we were at the parking lot of our company.
"Why are you spacing out? Is something wrong?"
"It's nothing..." I gave him an assuring smile.
"As I won today, I'll treat you with something delicious. Manager-nim, you're also coming, right?"
"I can't make it today, mianhae," Jihoon-ssi said. "I've some work with PD-nim."
San pouted. "Then we both are only left." He looked at me before looking back at Jihoon-ssi.
"You two can go. I'll get going." By saying that, he left.
"Let's go," San said.
"Uh..."
Then my gaze landed on Jaehyun who was standing silently some distance away from us.
"San-ah, is it okay for you if we call Jaehyun too?"
"Ah..." He hesitated a little. "Okay."
