Chapter 7

Violet's pov

Once winter holiday ended Molly owled us, talking about how the twins should be born in late March or early April. Lily and James think they are going to be born on March 29th, Sirius and Marlene think April 3rd, Remus and I think April 2nd, and Alice and Frank think March 30th. Molly also told us not to worry about coming to see the twins until after the school year. She wants us to worry about N.E.W.T.S and finishing school. Once we return back to the school, Lily, Remus and I begin to cram all the studying hours we can get. It's a Saturday and also quidditch day, normally Remus, Lily and I would be cheering for the Gryffindors, however we decided that during the match would be the best time to study.

I walk into the Great Hall to grab a muffin and some juice, Lily does the same, and Remus got there early to talk with James. "Come on, Moony! Just take one break." James pleads while Lily and I take a seat. "Fine! I'll go." Remus shouts and pushes Sirius and James off him. "You give in too easily, Moony." Lily says before taking James bacon. "Hey!" James shouts swatting Lily's hands. Remus groans in annoyance before Sirius attempts to steal his toast. "Go and watch James with Sirius. It's fine Remus, but don't complain when my scores are higher than yours." I tease making him throw a blueberry at me.

Lily and I exit the Great Hall, to walk towards the library. On our way out I notice Regulus talking with Narcissa and Bellatrix. Narcissa walks over to me and hugs me, "How's your cheek?" She questioned moving my hair behind my ear. "It's good barley any scar. What ring did she have on? That cut was deep." I laugh a little to lighten the mood. "A snake ring, the fang must have gotten you." Narcissa explains, while I nod. Regulus kisses my cheek before I excuse myself to study with Lily. "Narcissa seems to like you despite her family views." Lily mutters before grabbing her book. I smile and grab my book to take notes.

The match must have ended because students started to pile into the library, the quiet empty library became loud and crowded quickly. Lily made eye contact quickly with me making us both stand up and leave. On our way out of the library we notice Peter, Bellatrix, Lucius and Snape whispering in a corner. "Don't say hi, Lily." I order a little harshly, just to make sure she doesn't forgive him too easily. Severus spots me and Lily and walks in front of us stopping us in our tracks. "Hey, Lily." Severus mutters slowly trying to make eye contact with her. Lily says nothing and moves her feet back and forth. "She doesn't want to talk, Snape. So move." I say sternly. "I wasn't talking to you Lupin." He sneers before looking back at Lily. Peter walks up to me and looks me up and down. He goes to grab my waist when two tall figures step in front of us.

Regulus grabs Peter's wrist and twists it before pulling him closer to him. "I would advise you not to put your hands on her." Regulus spits looking down at Peter. James steps in front of Lily looking at Severus. "You just don't know when to stop, Snivellus." James sneers stepping closer to him. Regulus wraps his arm around my waist, while James does the same to Lily. They walk us back to our common room. James and Lily walk to the couches and begin to talk with Marlene, Sirius, and Remus. Regulus pulls me back to him and cups my left cheek and the back of my neck. He looks me up and down, before pulling a smirk to his lips. "Merlin, you're gorgeous." He mumbles against my lips before he kisses me passionately.

Remus coughs, making us pull away. "You've been so busy, I barely see you, love." He says while still holding my cheek and neck. "I'm sorry! I've been so stressed with making sure I know everything." I begin to ramble before he pulls me in for a quick kiss. "I know, love. I'm not blaming you. I just really miss you." He whispers against my neck as his trails kisses up to my lips. Marlene threw a pillow at us and it hit Regulus in the face. "Regulus! I'm sorry I was aiming for Vi!" She shouts as she begins to run away. Regulus chases her before casting a laughing jinx at her. He walks back over to me and kisses my cheek, before walking me to sit on the couch.
